      <description>&lt;p&gt;Hartz Mountain's flea and tick products have a deplorable safety record over the years.&#160; They use a 40 year old pesticide ingredient, phenothrin, in the volume of 85.7% which is a dangerous neurotoxin that has a documented history of injuring and killing thousands of dogs and cats.&#160; Hartz's cat and kitten products were terminated by the EPA in 2006 after the EPA issued a Cancellation Order in the summer of 2005.&#160; The EPA was overwhelmed with the number of adverse incidents reported by pet owners.&#160; Please check with your veterinarian before applying over the counter flea and tick products--you may save your own pet.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
