DR-PILANI says "Gave up on Vanguard before I could start" about Vanguard IRA

After hearing a lot about VG and fidelity I thought opening an IRA account with VG but gave up after a few try

Why I gave up

1) to open the account they ask for 3 things

Account owner information. Supply each owner's name, birth date, Social Security

but when you fill this and hit continue you get an error! How difficult that can be. I checked my entry 4 times no success. I have almost 20 on-line accounts (banks and investment included so I know what I am doing)

For most Vanguard funds, a minimum initial investment of $3,000 per fund to open a Vanguard IRA®.

Most firm allow opening IRA account with as little as $500.

With minimum requirement of $3000 to open an account I find their claim of 'invest as little' base less..sorry
...

DR-PILANI says "BEST &CONSISTENT CUTOMER SERVICE 7& CLOSING DT" about Discover - Platinum

I have been a Discover Card Customer since 1998. I have buisness, More and platinum cards. What I love about this card is-

1) Their CS never disappoints you. I am one of those high expectation cutomer and they come through every-time I call

2) I pay my cards in full each month. With discover the closing date is always the same not one or two before or after. That really helps me in timing my payments and charges. for example my closing date was 17th NOV. I wanted to charge $2000 for insurance which was due on 20. After the cycle closed i charged that $2000 on the 18th, now I will have up-to Jan to 17th to pay.

3) They give me 30 days grace period while my other cards like Visa and BOA, Chase give only 23-25 days at the most 28.

What I do not like about Discover is just one thing

They give low credit limits. On City I have $20000 (I am only 1 year old with them) but on Discover i have $13000. I a perfect Credit history and score.
...
