CoveredinGrace says "Lodge's Combo Cooker is two pans in one!" about Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Combo Cooker

The Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Cast-iron Combo Cooker is an absolutely amazing product! If you've never tried cast-iron, this may be the best product to start with in your collection.

I appreciated from the get-go that this product was really two products in one. The 3 Qt. deep "skillet" serves as a dutch oven, pot, deep fryer, and skillet; while the "lid" can either be used upside down as a lid for the dutch oven or can be turned right side up to serve as a 10 1/4" shallow skillet. So for the same amount of space a pan with lid would take up in your cabinet, you get BOTH of these amazing products and at a totally reasonable price to boot!

The cast-iron pans in this 2 piece set come already "seasoned", so they are non-stick from the day you take them out of the box, eliminating the need for years of seasoning in order to get a slick finish on your cast-iron, which is how our grandmothers used to have to do it. I purchased this product for its' dutch oven capabilities, but once it arrived...
...

CoveredinGrace says "This mold is both cute and functional, it's great!" about Wilton 6-Cavity Silicone Heart Mold Pan

The Wilton 6 Cavity Silicone Heart Mold Pan is a fun addition to any kitchen. The possibilities are seemingly endless with this particular pan/mold. You can make cupcakes, personal cheesecakes, chocolate hearts (large), heart-shaped rolls, or even mold you handmade soap with it!

I bought this to make Valentine's cupcakes for a church event, but I have found so many more uses for it since I got it that it truly has turned out to be a quality investment. The pan does pretty well at shaping cupcake batter, considering that it is made of flexible silicone. It is wonderful for gelatin jigglers or even making large ice cubes for a themed event because this product can go from freezer to fridge to oven, which of course adds to its' versatility.

I will say, though, that this product is not without flaws, either. There are only 6 cavities in it, so you can only make six muffins or cupcakes at a time, unless you purchase more of them to use at the same time. And at the price they ask for it, it's...
...

CoveredinGrace says "This conditioner is so-so compared to others in its' price range" about Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths Conditioner

I have very, very long hair and a good conditioner is essential to my daily routine. Growing up, I used Pantene products on my long hair. It wasn't till I was an adult and realized that there were better options out there in the same price range that I moved away from their line of products. Pantene is fine. It's not that I won't use it if it's on sale and free or almost free after coupons, because I will...it's just that Pantene's products seem to leave a heavy film on your hair for a long time unless you use a really harsh cheap shampoo (like dollar store brands) to "strip" your hair and then condition it with something else in the future. I was truly hoping that the new Beautiful Lengths kind of conditioner would be better, but alas, I feel the same as I did as a teenager. All they've done is slapped a new label on an old product and tried to market it as something special. Well, I assure you it is NOT something special, and unless you are using coupons and sales to make it free, it's...
...

CoveredinGrace says "This toaster is both functional and fun to look at!" about Oster Oster 2-Slice Toasters with Extra Wide Slots 6317

I love the Oster 2 slice wide slot toaster! I actually purchased this item on color alone, but was suprised and delighted with the features it offers. This toaster has the all-important cancel button, wide slots perfect for bagels, several temperature/time adjustments, and a new-to-me feature for frozen items.

There are buttons for:

1.Frozen

2.Cancel

3.Waffles

4.Bagel

5.Warm

6.Toast

The Warm feature allows you to warm something up without actually toasting it or drying it out. This is great for pancakes and the like. Some things you'd like warmed, but don't exactly want "toasted" and this feature is perfect for that.

I love that I don't have to fight with my husband over the lightness or darkness of the toaster's setting like we did with our old toaster. He likes his toast light, and I like my bagel well-toasted, so with the bagel feature, all I do is press a button to get my bagel toasted properly, and all he has to do is press a button to get his lightly done toast! We will never...
...

CoveredinGrace says "This is a cheaply made, horrible blender/food processor!" about Cuisinart Cuisinart Blender with Food Processor Attachment

I don't even know where to start on how much I hate this blender/food processor combo. It was cheap and had the features I was looking for at the time that I purchased it which is why I bought it. It has several speeds, and can switch between blender and food processor, using the attachments, which seemed handy. Less counter space taken up-two kitchen helpers in one, right? Ummm...no. First, it was troublesome to put together, and we ended up having to take out hand tools to even get it to work. I should've known then that I needed to save the receipt and send in the warranty. I didn't-my bad. After approximately 4 pie crusts (done in the food processor part) and 2 batches of smoothies, it stopped working while I was shredding some cheese (not even a hard cheese) in the food processor attachment. It just stopped working. The motor was running, but the blades stopped turning completely. After hours of trying to get it to work again, it still barely turns and won't process food or crush ice...
...

CoveredinGrace says "This wafflemaker is adequate, but not the best out there." about Durabrand Durabrand Wafflemaker 3850

I bought this wafflemaker at a big box retailer because we wanted one that day. I did no research on wafflemakers before buying, but it was sort of an impulse buy just to get us through at the time, so that was alright. It was very affordable at under $20 and would certainly work for a single person or couple who just wanted something to get them through at their first apartment or something, but is not a product I would reccomend for more experienced cooks or large families. I mean you COULD use it for a large family, but without an audible sound timer or any real controls on it, and the fact that it only makes 2 waffles at a time...I just don't see this product being practical for long-term use by most families. We have not yet replaced it with a nicer waffle iron, but it's just my husband and I and we don't mind standing there all day to make a full batch of waffles. As for the product performance, while this is the bare bones version of wafflemakers, it does turn out good waffles. They...
...

CoveredinGrace says "You can't beat this camera for value and ease-of-use!" about Hewlett Packard - Photosmart M437 Digital Camera

We purchased this camera a year or so ago to replace an older camera that hadn't been very useful and had broken. The HP M437 has been a true blessing in our lives. It's a very basic, simple camera that even someone who doesn't understand digital photography can use. I'm a very amateur photographer and mostly use this camera to capture holiday moments and to take pictures for my foodie blog. When purchasing this camera, we were looking for something that was good for up-close inanimate photos (i.e. the food pics) mostly. I tended to have trouble with the old camera giving me blurry pics because I couldn't hold it still long enough to get a good picture, but that was NO PROBLEM with this camera. It has a feature that helps steady the picture so that I very rarely (maybe twice in 1 1/2 yrs of regular weekly use) have a blurry picture anymore. The flash is automatic, but you can shut that off temporarily or permanently if you wish. The camera holds 16 pictures without an SD card. It even takes...
...

CoveredinGrace says "I've always wanted a KA mixer; this one exceeds my expectations!" about KitchenAid Kitchen Aid Pro 6 qt. Mixer

I have wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer since before I was married, and one Mother's Day, my husband fulfilled this dream for me. I had done months of research and came to the conclusion that the Kitchen Aid Pro 6 Qt. Mixer was the one for me. I'm an avid home cook with a history in restaurants, bakeries, and catering, so I knew that Kitchen Aid was the most commonly used stand mixer in most restaurants and bakeries, so that is what I wanted. Hubby ordered my Kitchen Aid online and got a free ice cream mixer attachment with it, which was an added bonus! I selected the cinnamon red and have not been dissapointed.

As someone who bakes her own bread weekly, I was really looking for a mixer that would knead the dough for me without breaking soon after purchase. That is precisely why I went for the Pro instead of the Artisan mixers (which are available in more colors than this model). Bread dough can be rough on mixers, but this mixer will hold up to 2 loaves at a time, which makes my time in the...
...

CoveredinGrace says "I fell in love with this conditioner the first time I tried it. " about Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk Conditioner

I was a little nervous about trying a new conditioner, because I tend to either love them or hate them; however, when Organix put a "Try me Free" tag on their products, I thought I'd give it a shot. I mean worst case scenario, I get my money back, right? Well, unfortunately for my pocketbook, but fortunately for me, I immediately fell in love with this conditioner. I have very long hair which is wavy and curly and kinda wild, so a quality conditioner is important to my sanity.

As I stood in the aisle debating which scent of conditioner I should buy, the decision was made the very moment that I caught a whiff of the Vanilla Silk conditioner. It's a warm, comforting smell that reminds you of warm sugar cookies at Grandma's house, and it really can't be beat. By the end of the bottle, I had never grown tired of this intoxicating smell...both in the shower and throughout the day as I flipped my hair. The smell is simply amazing, and the conditioning properties are extraordinary as well....
...

CoveredinGrace says "The Tefal Family Pro Fryer Digital is amazingly easy to use." about Tefal Family Pro Fryer Digital

The Tefal Family Pro Fryer Digital was a Christmas gift from my parents. I love to make my own french fries, doughnuts, egg rolls, and more, and this product has exceeded my expectations in every area. It comes with a handy basket with automatic lift, a digital timer and temperature guage that is completely adjustable. The Pro Fryer also has pre-set temperatures and times for common items like french fries, chicken tenders, and so much more! It also has an audible sound when the desired temperature is reached and when the timer goes down to 0. My only two issues with this deep fryer would be that it takes up a lot of counter space and the audible timer can be a bit annoying if you don't get to it immediately, because it just keeps going until you press the button to make it stop. I would easily buy this product again if anything happened to it, as it has been a blessing to my kitchen endeavors. I've used Fry Daddys and professional fryers before, and I have to say this is the most similar...
...
