Clarcqgirl says "Affordable & great customer service" about Allstate

When shopping around for my first car insurance, I received the lowest price quote from Allstate. I had been continuously insured under my father's insurance for the 5 or 6 years prior to signing up for my own with Allstate. I pay less than $400 a year for my car insurance; this is more toward the basic end. The local customer service agent helped my father and I extensively, contacting us many times with more information and answers to our questsions. I highly recommend Allstate for car insurance....

Clarcqgirl says "Charming, great food, beautiful scenery, something for everyone!" about Charleston, SC

Charleston is a beautiful city to visit, especially in the spring time. I was pleased with all of the restaurants we visited. For soul food at great prices, go to Jestine's, and get there before they open if you want lunch because there will be a line (open at 11:00 AM for lunch, not open Mondays). Make reservations for Hank's for great seafood (pricier and more upscale). Visit 82 Queen for the extraordinary jambalaya and to eat in the beautiful courtyard (and if it's cool, they turn on large heaters); atmosphere is amazing. Finally, Hominy Grill is also mouthwatering (you can also make reservations here). Visit Kaminsky's on Market Street for dessert or drinks. The Schooner Pride sailboat ride was relaxing, except for the many noseums flying around and landing on everyone; also, the guides on this tour don't provide historical or geographical information unless asked, so don't choose this tour if you're looking for one that is informational. Also highly recommended is B'Zar for...

Clarcqgirl says "Nice little mp3 player" about Samsung - YP-C1 MP3 Player

I was looking for an mp3 player for an overseas trip, as I used to just take a Discman and several CD's on a trip with me! This was obviously a big improvement, but I was pleasantly surprised with this mp3 player; it was a great investment for me. Its great to use while travelling or while walking or jogging; I keep it in my pocket while out walking. It has great sound quality. The earbuds are of good quality. You can listen to FM radio and I've gotten mediocre reception with that. The software included is extremely straight-forward and easy to use. You just drag and drop the songs you want into the folder. The navigation on the player itself is easy to use and the buttons are not too big or small. It is an attractive gadget, blue and white. This product was not very expensive and is a great value for the price. There are 113 songs on mine right now. Of my two complaints, one isn't even product-specific. First, there is a rather loud beep in the earbuds that signifies that the player...

Clarcqgirl says "This microwave is complicated to use." about Oster Microwave and Grilling Oven

This new Oster microwave is harder to use than our last microwave, which we've had since about the 1970's. The door is heavy, hard to open (pulls the whole microwave forward towards the edge of the shelf) and hard to close (one has to push hard to close it). The turntable falls easily off its track, even when one is trying to put a plate or glass in. It is hard to figure out how to set the clock. It is difficult to figure out how to set cook power and time. Also, the power on the microwave has shut down several times for no apparent reason (no general power outage at the time) for several minutes at a time, which causes the clock to be required to be reset....
