CameramanAaron says "A good budget wireless router that isn't too much trouble." about Linksys Wireless-G Acess Point (WRT54G)

In so many products and services, things are expected to go smoothly. Some necessities are taken for granted and not thought about, until they cease to work. At the top of the list of things like that is the wireless router. People expect to hop online to check email, go to their favorite websites, or watch a video clip with ease and speed. Linksys' Wireless G WRT54G is a device that allows for just that. It's a budget router, small and simple and not top of the line. It is reliable, though, and that's really what everyone wants in a router.

The WRT54G has an ethernet input to connect this router to the modem. It has four seperate ethernet output ports for the devices you'd rather keep connected with a cord, not wirelessly. The router comes with a setup disk that isn't too hard to install and setup if you've installed peripherals or devices before. For those that get confused by technology and just use the internet to check your email, you might want to get your nephew...
...

CameramanAaron says "A tough and cool looking phone that's easy to use" about Casio - GzOne Boulder Cell Phone

The Casio GzOne Boulder from Verizion is a uniquely-styled phone that stands out from the rest. It's a flip style cell with rocky-looking edges, available in a black-and-silver, or, if you really want to make a statement, safety cone orange color. In contrast to it's rugged overall shape, the face of the phone has a circular display for the time, date, and tells you when there's an incoming call or text. The display format itself comes with a large variety of custom options, as does the phone's interior menu navigation, to give it a truly personal style.

Aside from some very nice aesthetics, the phone operates as well as one would hope. The menus are easy to get through, the controls are all buttons-no glitchy touch-screens here. It offers all the essentials and then some without being too hard to manage.

Casio claims the phone is inspired by military technology to protect it from shock and water. Mine has resisted both with flying colors. I drop it hard getting out of my...
...

CameramanAaron says "The S3IS shoots a nice picture, but has it's flaws." about Canon - PowerShot S3 IS Digital Camera

A few years ago, the S3IS was a top of the line digital camera, just a step below the pricy DSLR's. With a nice 12x optical zoom and a slew of options for picture control like a digital shutter speed and aperture controls, it feels like a DSLR. Its bulky size, quick battery drain, and quirky sensitivity balance out the good aspects for, in total, a simply average camera. And now, with 12+ megapixel cameras retailing for under $100, the S3IS is really only for a specific user.

If you are somebody who likes to play with depth of field and can navigate the menus to do so, wants a lot of optical zoom, but doesn't want to shell out the money for a DSLR, you are the right type of user for this camera.

If you're looking for a pocket camera, very high resolution with a high megapixel count, or simply something that is easy to use, steer clear of the S3IS.

In my personal experience with this model, I had to exchange the first S3IS I purchased due to the zoom no longer working...after a...
...

CameramanAaron says "The Canon ZR 500 is a tough, compact SD Mini DV Camcorder" about Canon - ZR 850 Camcorder

I can't say enough good stuff about my trusty Canon ZR 500 camcorder. As many people go the way of Hard drive or mini dvd video recorders, I haven't jumped on the bandwagon just yet. The ZR 500 is dependable and tough while providing a terrific picture quality. It is very easy to transfer videos from the 500 to a computer via firewire cable (which is included with the camcorder.)

The ZR 500 can take a beating. Mine has gotten me through 3 college video courses and more than a dozen freelance videography jobs. I've literally duct taped mine to the hood of a car and driven down the street. That was three years ago. It still shoots a perfect picture today. On my honeymoon in the Bahamas, when my digital still camera wouldn't work due to humidity, the ZR 500 was still shooting great video of ocean beaches.

I do have a few small complaints. The battery drains far more quickly than expected when not in use. If I don't use it for a month, then want to shoot something, I almost...
...

CameramanAaron says "The Garmin Nuvi is a terrific, low-price GPS" about Garmin - Nuvi 200

The Garmin Nuvi 200 is a low-cost, basic GPS that offers everything a first-time GPS user could want. It's compact size doesn't take up too much space on a dashboard, and it can slip easily into a pocket for use while walking around a new area. However, the Nuvi 200's small size makes touch screen access prone to typos for anyone who has moderate-to-large-size fingers or who isn't extremely dextrous. When using my Nuvi 200, I prefer to use a stylus on the touch screen.

Out of the box, it comes with warrantee information and user's manual paperwork, a suction-cup windsheld mount, DC power cord, and of course the wallet-sized GPS unit. I would like to have seen a usb cable and stylus included in the package, not as accessories to be purchased seperately. The manual is easy to read and understand, and the GPS doesn't take long at all to set up and become accustomed to. Even tech-illiterate people can pick up the Garmin Nuvi 200 and start using it within fifteen minutes.

CameramanAaron says "It's like Skittles candy in carbonated drink form!" about Mountain Dew - Baja Blast Mountain Dew

Baja Blast Mountain Dew is a flavor of the Mountain Dew line sold exclusively in Taco Bell resturaunts. It has a distinctly sweet and flavorful taste that stands out from the rest of the Mountain Dew brand. I like to describe it as liquefied Skittles, but more refreshing than it sounds. The flavor is a tropical blend, not having a specific fruit taste. The soda itself is a bright turquoise shade of blue. The drink itself is sweet and refreshing and isn't as tart or strongly flavored as regular Mountain Dew or the other varients Code Red or Live Wire. Currently Baja Blast is only available in Fountain Drink form, never having been sold in bottle or can form. For me, it is a reason to go to Taco Bell. It is the only drink I order at the resturaunt, and definately a drink I would purchase other places if it was available on wider release in cans or bottles. I am a daily pop drinker, and I like a wide variety of carbonated beverages. Baja Blast is definately my favorite.......
