Buzz1959 says "You can win with MyPoints!" about MyPoints

I started using MYPoints about two years ago and have been extremely satisified with the website. MyPoints will e-mail you various offers and you can click on them for 5 points and take advantage of the offers of multiple points. They will also send you surveys that you can take and earn an average of 50 points. The only thing I don't like about the surveys is that they take longer than they promise. Also, the sometimes the company sending the survey will ask a ton of questions and when the have the info they want, will say you do not qualify. The only other negative I have run into is that my spam has really increased since I signed up to MyPoints.

On the positive, it's a great way to go out to eat for free, spend nights in free hotel rooms, get gift cards to mass merchant or big box stores, etc. Once you accumulate enough points, you can cash them in for a gift card or check. It takes a few weeks to get the card or check so be patient. Also, points are not rewarded immediately,...
...

Buzz1959 says "My top 10" about Top 10 Movies of All Time

1. Scarface-I've watched this movie over 30 times and still love it. It's the story of opportunity in America and the lesson of over indugence. Al Pachino does a great job in making you live out his life as a immigrant turned gangster. This film is very grafic and the language is terrible. I prefer to watch it on TV, not sure if they have a tuned down version?

2. The Shawshank Redemption- Second most watched movie for me. A story of perseverence and never giving up. A good lesson to be learned.

3. The Godfather I.-So many stars doing such a good film. This film covers the American mafia in it's heyday and I found myself rooting for the bad guy a few times. Who wouldn't want the Godfather to do them a favor?

4. Dumb and Dumber-I wish Jim Carrey would go back to comedy. Whenever I'm down I pop this in the DVD and in minutes I'm all chuckles. It's really a stupid movie but I love it.

5. The Shining-Jack Nicholsen does such a great job acting out the Stephen...
...

Buzz1959 says "How to make the most on a family Cruise!" about Cruising family style - what to know BEFORE you go!

Ok, I'll give you my take on a cruise with a family. First of all, we like to take a 7 day cruise because it seems too rushed. Also, if the boat experiences engine problems, you will not be able to board the ship until it is fixed and they will skip ports to make up time. If you have never been on a cruise, you need to know a few basics. Make sure that if you are going out of the country, you have a pass port for all family members, you will not get on the boat if you do not have one. Checking in and boarding goes rather fast and the kids should not get too board. Once at the room, establish your rules but understand that the room and bathroom is tiny. Spend as little time as you can in the room and take advantage of the boat. The first thing we do is sign up for the refillable soda so we don't pay a lot of out-of-pocket expenses. If the couple likes to drink wine, take advantage of the offers for reduced wine packages. Other wise the cost will add up during the cruise. ......

Buzz1959 says "Great Experience with Ford Windstar!" about Ford Windstar - 1998

I read one of the reviews that knocked the Windstar but I loved that van. We did maintence on the van on a regular basis and maybe that was the key? The seats were comfortable, the van was easy to drive, we got great gas mileage and to be honest, with 3 kids, it took a beating with spills, bangs and kids getting sick. The only thing that we didn't like about the van was that it eventually lost all of it's original hub caps. They were poorly made and eventually they all popped off. (one came off after a visit to Jiffy Lube so I won't hold Ford responsible for that one). We now have a 2007 FreeStar and don't like the van at all. I wish for had stuck to the original concept of the Windstar but they cut a lot of corners with this new model. The seats are very uncomfortable on long and short trips. There is a huge blind spot on the van, in part because of the built in head rests on the diver and passenger front seats. After nearly clipping a few cars on the highway, we learned......

Buzz1959 says "Great service, never get dropped." about Verizon Wireless Network

Could not ask for a better provider. I had the option to drop my contract but stuck with Verizon because of their service and coverage. I recently got a new phone through Verizon via the internet. There were no problems with my order, it came in a timely manner as promised and met my expectations. I was not able to activate the phone myself so I had to call a Verizon rep to help me out. He was very patient, knowledgeable and had my phone activated with in fifteen minutes. My husband uses Sprint and doesn't get the same coverage that I get and he pays a lot more for his service. When he is on the road, he frequently has problems with his connection. He also has problems with his connection at the mass merchant and big box stores. I took this into consideration when I decided to stick with Verizon. You can shop for other cell phone providers but I doubt that you will find a better one than Verizon. Remember, if you opt to go with another provider and are not happy......
