BubleFan1 says "LOVIN' MY TOSHIBA" about Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7930

Just got a new Toshiba Satellite laptop with my bday money (thanks family!). I've finally gotten a brand spanken new laptop. I've always received hand-me-downs from work - no complain there!

Well this laptop is super cool! I was debated between a desktop or a laptop and decided on this Toshiba Satellite laptop. We've been checking out reviews from Consumer Reports and think we've made a great decision. Well this laptop was only $30 higher than the HP desktop that I was looking at. I couldn't go wrong.

I'm still pretty new to the laptop but I can tell you from a non-techie point of view....it's really pretty! Its shiny black with smooth, flat keys. There are so many options and programs on this thing! It's got the new Windows 7 Home, which I'm still learning. It comes with great tutorials. Windows Media Center is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! You can view TV shows on it for crying out loud! My kids are getting tired of me yelling "oh my gosh" every time I figure something new and exciting...
...

BubleFan1 says "I'm so glad I went to the Matinee and it was only $5" about Paranormal Activity

Paranormal Activity..... hmm, let me start by saying that anyone who truly knows me knows that I am a believer in the unknown. That being admitted, I listened to the hype and saw this movie today. After all, the reviews have been very favorable and it's made a ton of money.

Paranormal Activity left me saying "I'm so glad that I did not pay full price for this movie." I love spooky movies. I want to be scared without all of the blood and guts - its not necessary. Paranormal Activity is unique in that it is made like The Blair Witch Project. You see the film through their amateur camera. You will either love it or hate it. I loved The Blair Witch Project. I did not love Paranormal Activity.

A little about the movie:

Katie and Micha are a young couple who have been together for a few years. Katie has dealt with paranormal experiences since she was 8. When she moves in with her boyfriend, she never told him of her past experiences. I can understand that because there are...
...

BubleFan1 says "Oooh so fresh!!!" about Juicy Couture Perfume

I bought a Juicy Couture fragrance gift set for my mother for her birthday last month. I know that it's not a new fragrance but it was the first time I've ever smelled it. It's AMAZING! What took me so long??? I just assumed it was for teens because that's how I view their advertisement

Juicy Couture is full of wonderful floral scents, which are my favorite! I really don't smell fruit - but apparently there are several fruity smells included. The scent is fresh and romantic and for most ages! Its has the perfect level of fragrance as well. Not too light, not too strong. Very fun, feminine and confident.

I recently bought myself a roller-ball (roll on) of this scent and its perfect for the purse. No worries about leakage or anything.

I can't wait for my birthday to come around so that I can ask for a gift set! ;-)

Notes:
Watermelon, Mandarin, Pink Passion Fruit, Marigold, Green Apple, Water Hyacinth, Crushed Leaves, Tuberose Absolute, Wild Rose, Princess Lily, Tuberose, Caramel Créme...
...

Okay, I'm really, really, really into fragrance, skin care and makeup but......purses??!!!??? Not usually. I was told by my daughter that I really need to update my purse so I went to JC Penney's last night and found a dynamite looking purse!

Liz & Co. has been around and I trust their style. This purse makes a statement! (To me anyway). I love the beautiful, rich color (#655 Ruby). This shiny purse will make a great accessory to any outfit. I actually thought out of the box this time and bought a "colored" purse instead of my plain black purse. Hey, black is a great color, not to mention its slimmining - oh, that's meant for clothing???!???

This Liz & Co. purse has several compartments (see pics). I love the fact that there is an inside pocket for my cell phone and a smaller one for pens or better yet - lipstick! On each side of the purse are stylish small pockets (once again for a cell phone or lipstick --- or maybe a pack of gum). Also inside you will find an attachable...
...

BubleFan1 says "No smoothing cream here!!! Just lots of sticky .... ewe!" about Mario Badescu Elbow & Heel Smoothing Cream

I'm not a fan of Mario Badescu's Elbow & Heel Smoothing Cream. I bought this recently and have tried it several nights in a row. This should be called Elbow & Heel Gel. Plain and simple. I've not found it to be smoothing nor is it a cream. The only thing I like about it is the color - it's blue (pretty).

I wear sandals a lot and really work hard at keeping my tootsies looking soft and pretty. This has got to be one of the worst foot products I've ever used. I tried it on my elbows and that was messy too. Nothing like having your elbows stick to papers on your desk.

I'm surprised of the quality of this product coming from a celebrity spa. Looks like they need to try again at making this product.

What Mario Badescu's Elbow & Heel Smoothing Cream is supposed to do:

Smooth and restore moisture to dry, rough, cracked skin on the heels and elbows with this thick gel-cream. For maximum results use at bedtime with beauty booties or cotton socks (I tried the socks). For elbows...
...

I finally found an awesome phone!!! I recently purchased the Samsung Impression (a877) and I cannot stop raving about it. I find out new things about it almost every day (I've had it for over 2 months).

Something for the texters! I'm new to texting and I love this vibration-response touchscreen. It's bright and clear. To spoil me even more.....a full slide-out keyboard!!! I needed that! For you youngsters out there - your texting life just went into overdrive. Actually mine just begun because I could never text on my previous phones because it just took way to long to compose msgs.

The Samsung Impression (a877) has:

Full Keyboard

Large Touch Screen (makes access to applications easy)

BubleFan1 says "Finally a complete all-in-one cleanser for everyone!" about Signature Club A Meltdown Cleansing Creme

I am sooo hooked on Signature Club A Meltdown Cleansing Crème's. I first heard about them when my mother gave me a jar at Christmas (she bought it at one of the shopping channels on TV). Usually the scent of vanilla makes me sick to my stomach so I quietly put it in my bathroom closet. Then one day, I ran out of my usual cleanser and I had to open my jar. Wow!!! I was hooked from then on.

Signature Club A Meltdown Cleansing Crème comes in a variety of heavenly scents; including tangerine, mandarin, cucumber (subtle scent), lemon, coconut and of course vanilla. I'm telling you that you'll want to eat them!! This is such a luscious addition to my skin care regimen. The process couldn't be simpler. All you do is lather a 2 or 3-finger scoop of the crème evenly onto your face (on either clean skin in the morning or over your makeup at bedtime) and let it stay on your skin - count to 10 or 15 and then remove with a wet washcloth. This product gently dissolves all traces...
...

Prestige Liquid Eyeliner gives you dramatic eyes with one easy stroke.

A long-time favorite of mine because they truly glide on effortlessly, without feeling heavy and never pulling at the skin. I use to line my top lashes and it stays all day long.

Prestige Liquid Eyeliner comes in fabulously, rich colors. The brush (wand) is my favorite as well because it's more like a magic marker tip and not a flimsy brush!

Prestige is such an affordable brand. You can find the eyeliner for $3.50+ depending on where you shop.

My personal favorite colors: Icon (plum) and Envy (green) both do wonders to bring out my hazel green eyes even more!
...

Somehow I've managed to mess up the "about" on my review....OOOPS!!!

This review is about the TV show HARPERS ISLAND (on Saturday nights on CBS)

Harpers Island -- (one by one)......

Finally a horror-inspired drama on TV that's worth watching! This is a CBS series about a group of friends and family who meet to celebrate a wedding on a secluded island just outside of Seattle. This island looks so neat, I'd love to go! Unfortunately it's an island that is famous for a streak of unsolved murders seven years ago. Suddenly they end up dead one by one. You are left in total suspense wondering if the killer has returned or is someone else doing this!

My daughter and I are completely hooked. Last weeks episode was probably the best - very emotional and I ended up in tears!

The 2-hour finale is this Saturday (July 11th)!!!! Watch it and be scared!!!

This is the second book in this series from Beth Wiseman. The first amazing book is called Plain Perfect and focuses on the life of Lillian. This new, second book called Plain Pursuit focuses on the life of Carley (just love that name), who is Lillian's friend from Texas. I like Carley's feisty, outspoken character. Carley desperately needs a break from her life in Houston and decides to visit her friend Lillian in Pennsylvania. Well, maybe she was kind of forced into taking that much needed break...LOL! During her visit in PA, the quietness quickly changes with the illness of Lilllian & Samuel's son (David). We then realize that the best local doctor to treat David is Samuel's brother (Dr. Noah, who sounds very hunky!). Well Dr. Noah was shunned from the Amish community years ago. Something Carley, nor I, agreed with. Lots of secrets are revealed and new relationships are formed during this exciting, yet scary (due to David's health) time.

e.l.f. Mineral Booster (comes in 2 sizes small for $5 and large for $8)

I have become a mineral makeup lover. I cheat though....I use a liquid foundation and then use a mineral powder over it to achieve a nice natural look. While looking for a refill of my e.l.f. mineral powder I noticed a new product of theirs called Mineral Booster. I quickly ordered one and I must say that I really love it. I'm going to buy some for the ladies in my family and send it to them at Christmas.

With e.l.f. Mineral Booster you will achieve the ultimate, translucent finishing touch to your makeup. The Mineral Booster melts into your skin, infusing it with key vitamins A, B, C and E to promote healthier skin that's noticeably silkier and smoother - without the typical "shimmer" that you get with most mineral products. (No shimmer is a big bonus to me). This Mineral Booster is completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones. This product gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of fine lines...
...

Plain Perfect is a novel written by someone that I've known for several years. Beth Wiseman is the best friend of a very dear friend of mine. I still have Beth's first, self-published book but she's really outdone herself with her newest novel, published by Thomas Nelson. Plain Perfect is the first of a series. I purchased a few for my family and had the pleasure of getting them autographed by Beth. We've all read the book (as we did her first, self-published book) and we all agree --- we want more!!!

About the story (you don't have to be Amish to love this book):

Lillian Miller has had a tough life. She discards the distractions of her former life and while visiting her grandparents home in Lancaster County that she realizes this may be the place she finds peace. Lillian befriends a young boy (11-year old David) who works on her family's farm and his attractive widowed father, Samuel Stoltzfus. Time goes by and Lillian joins the Amish order and adopts their lifestyle as her...
...

I stumbled across TRUtv while I was visiting family in Georgia. This is a pretty interesting network - actuality not reality TV. Recently I discovered one of their shows called Haunting Evidence. Anyone who knows me knows that paranormal is very interesting to me. I'm very open-minded with this subject (I search for the truth).

Haunting Evidence brings crime solving to another dimension. This show stars a trio team: Carla Baron is a Psychic Profiler, John Oliver is a Medium and Patrick Burns is a Paranormal Investigator. This team takes you into the heart of evil, as they see murders through the killer's mind and the victim's eyes. Each episode begins with Patrick taking Carla & John to a mystery location; which is the last location that the victim was seen. From there, Carla & John really take off with feeling/visualizing what transpired. Its really pretty amazing how accurate they both are. From there, they follow the victim/killer's last steps, sometimes meet family...
...

I found these Ferrara Pan Red Hotsat Walmart for 88 cents and love them! This box is the same size (7oz) that they sell at the movie theater for $3.00!!! These are great when you just reach that point in your day/week when you just want some candy!!!! They take the place of breath mints too. You have to like hot candies because this stuff makes me want to call the fire department! These little, round, red, cinnamon flavored candies are H-0-T but I'm addicted to them!

Ferrara Pan Red Hotsare fat free but do contain 16g of carbs. Why can't we ever have something fat free AND carb free??? I don't think that exists! ;-)
...

BubleFan1 says "Avon's MagiX is Magically silky!" about Avon MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20

For some reason I feel the need to continuously try different primer's for the face. I have found a few good ones and have reviewed them previously. About 4 weeks ago, I purchased Avon's new MagiX Face Perfector from my Avon lady. I instantly loved this product. It's a face primer (works awesome with or without foundation) and an SPF (20). This silky, gel-type, colorless formula glides on super easy. It instantly attacks any shine (without drying out my very oily skin) and camouflages imperfections (fine lines, light scarring). It does not cover freckles or age spots so if you are looking to "cover" something it's not made for that.

MagiX Face Perfector is perfect for anyone who wants to look naturally flawless and beautiful without looking like you're wearing any makeup. I wear it during the week before I put on my makeup (doesn't need time to dry like most primers). On weekends, when I don't want to wear makeup, I use my normal beauty products and then slide some...
...

BubleFan1 says "Great casino fun with fabulous room views!!" about Beau Rivage Resort & Casino - Biloxi, MS

We recently took an at-the-last minute weekend trip to Biloxi, MS and we opted for the Beau Rivage. It's a beautiful hotel/casino. Our rooms were less than we expected though. Rating the room itself out 5 stars....I'd say they were a 3. Factor in the casino, restaurants, etc. and my rating changes to a 4.

HOTEL - (Rooms weren't as expected)

GUEST ROOMS - We had a room facing the ocean. At $229 a night, the room looked NOTHING like the pictures on their website. Large bathroom with separate soaking tub (NO Jacuzzi) and glassed in shower, NO luxury linens, NO robes, NO coffee maker, NO fridge, NO snack shelf. Frankly the comforters, which I roll down to the end of the bed, looked like it came from grandma's bedroom. These rooms are more along the lines of a Best Western or something. They should be in the $89 dollar range.

GUEST SUITES - Wonder what they looked like...

RESTAURANTS - (Typical crowds, get there early, don't be starving)

FINE DINING - 3 fine dining restaurants. ...
...

I've never been able to master my mother's task of making great tasting gravy from scratch. I gave up trying a few years ago when I found Pioneer Brand Biscuit Gravy Mix. This gravy is heavenly on our biscuits. It's so easy and quick to make.

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. (the makers of Pioneer Brand) have been doing this since 1851. The Pioneer Brand proudly holds the position of the oldest family-owned business in Texas, and also the oldest continuously operated family-owned milling company in the United States. For over 150 years, they have consistently produced products with superior taste and performance.

In today's time, Pioneer Brand offers a wide variety of convenience food products - easy-to-prepare mixes and frozen dough (haven't tried this one) for creating home-style baked goods and gravies. Products that help busy cooks like me prepare dishes I can be proud of, without spending the day in the kitchen.

These convenient packages makes 2 cups in this quick and easy way:
...

A few months ago I went downstairs to the deli in my office building and discovered a new flavor in one of my favorite gums (Orbit). I was wanting a change from my regular favorite (spearmint). I noticed the pretty colored packaging (pink & green) and then I noticed the flavor, Maui Melon Mint. Hmmmm sounds good to me so I gave it a try. Wow!! I love this new flavor! I've turned several of my friends and co-workers onto this gum. Not because I was telling them that they have bad breath or anything.... :-)

There are 14 sticks of wonderful Maui Melon Mint in this cute little box. Orbit Maui Melon Mint is sugar-free and contains <5 calories. It's a nice change in gum flavor and I'm hooked right now. It really does give you that "just brushed clean feeling."

...

BubleFan1 says "Look Ma no Flames !!!" about Yankee Candle Reed Diffusers in Lemon Lavender

I just opened my Yankee Lemon Lavender Reed Diffuser yesterday, after a day of cleaning, and placed it in my bathroom. They say to give it 24-48 hours for the scented oil to travel up the wooden sticks but, I noticed the fragrance shortly after putting it in my bathroom. I've already had 2 compliments on the scented room. This Lemon Lavender fragrance is very fresh and clean. I have the large jar candles in this scent because it's so refreshing.
Yankee Lemon Lavender is a powdery fresh blend of tangy lemon citrus and sweet lavender flowers. This Reed Diffuser is attractive and is the perfect way to add fragrance to your home in style! You can use it in any room. And it's easy to use (unlike many other brands I've used) ... simply place the natural reeds in the decorative fragrance bottle, they absorb the scent oil, draw it to the top and diffuse it into the room air. Each bottle of fragrance oil comes with 10 reeds.

(6.5 fl. oz.) - $21.99. At this price it is expensive (the...
...

BubleFan1 says "Got Crumbs????" about Avon Skin So Soft Fusions (Soft & Sensual) Dual Softening Body Moisturizer

I have been a fan of Avon since I was a kid when I passed out brochures for an elderly neighbor. She used to reward me with Avon products for kids. (I wonder what ever happened to her).

Anyway, I remain very loyal to Avon. They have many wonderful products. I tried being an Avon Rep a few years ago but it didn't work out for me because I bought just as much as I sold!! Not good!!

I recently tried their new SKIN SO SOFT Fusions Soft & Sensual Dual Softening Body Moisturizer. It glided on very nicely. I love the scent (Soft & Sensual line). It seemed to be a great product...... until about a half our later when I was sitting at the kitchen table playing boggle with family and I had my legs under the table resting on the chair across from me. I felt something weird on my legs. I brushed them off with my hand and I felt crumbs all over my legs. I accused one of the kids of brushing off dinner crumbs onto the chair. Seriously. It just didn't make sense. The crumbs...
...
