BobbyG says "A great help after a tough break" about Dr. Brian Hartigan - Northwestern - Chicago, IL

My wife had a nasty wrist break about a year ago and we were looking for a good doctor. We had gone to Northwestern Memorial in Chicago before, but some of the doctors can be a little pretentious. A friend suggested an orthopedic surgeon, but he was swamped. Another doctor in the practice - Brian Hartigan took our case. He was EXTREMELY sympathetic to my wife and never rushed us out of the office or made us feel like we were asking too many questions. But the best part came after we learned she had to have surgery. We were both scared. It was her right hand and if she couldn't get it back to normal, we would both be in trouble. The day of the surgery, Dr. Hartigan was phenomenal - not only in surgery, but pre and post-op. His bedside manner is very professional, yet empathetic. My wife is "back to normal" now thanks to the care Dr. Hartigan...

BobbyG says "A suprisingly eclectic experience!" about People Lounge - Chicago, IL

Spanish tapas & Music lounge. Food was excellent. When I first looked at the menu, I wasn't sure what to get, some of it looked too eclectic for me, but WOW! I don't think there was a plate that went back with anything on it. We even souped up all of the sauces they used. The food was outstanding - try the People's Skirtsteak, Chicken Skewer, Mejillones con Ajo, Queso de Cabra and Patatas Bravas. There is outdoor seating too, which makes it a great place to people...

BobbyG says "A True Home Theater " about ViewSonic HDTV Home Cinema Projector

My wife may have underestemated me when saying " The basement is yours" . The viewsonic projector has turned our basement into a home theater. We have a glass wall (1 side is painted white) and the projector mounted on the cieling. The picture is about 90" diagonally and as good as a theater. The projector is about 8 feet from the wall. — We have directv hooked up with the regular non HD antenna. The quality of picture is fantanstic. The projector (PJ558D) has all the features you need. The ability to mount it upsidedown and flip the image. Keystone to offset the angle from the cieling. 2,500 ANSI lumens plenty of light. Set to "cool" the lamp is suppose to last 2,000 hours. The fan is super quiet barely notice when its on. — The set up is great for getting a huge picture with zero...

BobbyG says "Perfect Flame is the correct name!" about Perfect Flame Model SLG2007D Grill

Sunday BBQ with the family starts with about 20 people at our house. This required a big grill. This one is definitely up to the task. Huge cooking surface 773 inches. This sounds smaller than it is because most other grills consider the side burner in the cooking surface. A cool feature is the side is an infrared burner. Great for searing meets and keeping in the juices! You can also put a pot/pan on it. — Aside from the huge cooking surface it does have an infrared heater in the main compartment. I'm guessing this is to keep the warming tray really warm. Comes with a griddle surface so you can even fry up brunch. — The cooking surface was a little high for us. "The 5'6" and under crowd" so when building the unit I removed the wheels which made it the perfect hight. Assembly was easy. I suggest having a second...

A great spot for the business traveler. This place is never quiet. Not much in NYC is! The staff are always helpful. Very accommodating when checking in and out. Always willing to point you in the right direction on getting around the city. The rooms are large for NYC standards. Beds are comfortable with enough room to get some work done. Highspeed hook ups are very reliable. Wireless in the lobby making the afternoon meeting at the Library bar very productive. (Be sure to get a bowl of the chips!) The sports bar has great servers and wireless as well. — Its central location 52nd and 7th keeps you walking distance to the theater's, great restaurants, and all the trains. — If you are looking for trendy head for the W. The Sheraton is very vanilla but, they keep you comfortable. —...

BobbyG says "A great urban vehicle " about Nissan Murano 2005

The car has turned out to be the perfect urban vehicle. Large enough for the monthly trip to costco. Small enough to parallel in the tightest spots. Go with the Navigation package which includes the rear camera. The fisheye lens gives you great perspective. Included with the navigational package is the Keyless entry. You just need to have the FOB on your person to unlock the doors with a touch and start it up. Perfect for the weekend worriers using the hitch mounted bike trailer. — One downside although its rated for 3K lb towing it sometimes feels like the trailer is driving you. The Constant Variable Transmission is great for the city not build for heavy towing. Would not recommend more than a couple of wave runners. —...
