Prilosec OTC became my husband's standby when he ran out of his prescription for Zantac 150 mg. Both can be obtained over the counter now, but in the case of his prescription, it was cheaper to get it at the pharmacy than buy over the counter. His doctor would not refill his prescription without an office visit (dumb since he has been on this for several years), so that led to him trying Prilosec OTC. Why switch? Because I already had some at the house and it worked for me so he decided why not?

Prilosec OTC comes in boxes of 14, 28, and 42 count. The product works by blocking the acid with one dose a day. It is also great for frequent heartburn sufferers.

Omeprazole magnesium delayed-release tablet 20.6 mg (equivalent to 20 mg omeprazole)

My Thoughts on Prilosec OTC

The worst thing about starting Prilosec OTC is that it doesn't work immediately. You have to take it for a couple of days to two weeks for the medication to really kick in and prevent heartburn/acid...

Winters bring more than just cold weather for me, it also means that the aches and pains associated with arthritis and fibromyalgia will be knocking on my door. One of the prescriptions I take to manage the pain for both conditions is Tramadol.

Tramadol is classified as a narcotic-like drug but not considered one that you would get addicted to easily like some other ones on the market. It is also one that is fairly easy on the stomach. The Body Shop is one of my favorite stores. I'm one to pick up just about anything in the store to try it out. At The Body Shop I can try out most products in the store before buying. This saves me money sometimes. I've rarely bought something from The Body Shop that I decided after getting it home that I didn't like it. So what all do they have?

The unique thing about The Body Shop is that their products are made from natural ingredients. Those "natural ingredients" are purchased through trade agreements in third world countries.

Why does this matter, you may ask? First of all, it gives a disadvantaged community an income and money coming in that they normally would not have.

If you have a computer and printer set up in your home office, you are likely to use a good bit of computer ink. My husband has an extra printer set up currently that I had never used before. We have always used Norton Anti-virus software at work, but sometimes that isn't an option for home use. A couple of years ago my husband suggested that I get a laptop for when we go away on weekend camping trips and vacation. I guess he was hinting that he knew I was miserable when I couldn't check email for a couple of days in a row, let alone a whole week out of town. I took him up on the offer since I have already been mulling the thought over in my head and we planned a trip to Best Buy. I've been primarily using my laptop since we moved. When my laptop started overheating I knew that I needed to order a cooling pad. I searched online and read reviews and finally chose the Antec USB Powered Cooler. It seemed to be the perfect product to meet my needs.
