Avidytueab says "A great natural tinted moisturizer that camouflages redness" about Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Tinted Moisturizer

When my old tinted moisturizer by Cover Girl was discontinued, I switched to Physician's Formula. I was skeptical at first, especially since the brand was forced on me by a relative who had never tried it, but I have been pleasantly surprised by it. I even went to the store today to stock up on more when there was a Physician's Formula sale!

First of all, the particular shade I tried (Ivory to Fair) was perfect. Usually, tinted moisturizers or foundations can look to yellow or bronze on my skin, but this shade blended in wonderfully with my super pale skin. Although the texture is very liquidy coming out of the tube (caution using this in warm weather!), it does a great job of providing a thin layer of coverage to my skin. Just a little dab camouflages any redness or acne I may have, and it doesn't make my sensitive skin break out!

Unfortunately, the smell is not that appealing, but it's a moisturizer, not a perfume. I apply it almost every single day, and at this point, I...
...

Avidytueab says "Well-designed mp3 player without the frills of the newest nano" about Apple - iPod Nano 3rd Generation Media Player

I have had my iPod nano 3G for over a year now, and I absolutely love it. To me, the design of this particular model far exceeds that of the 4G or the mini- the nano fits perfectly in your hand, and it's compact, but the screen is large enough so you don't have to squint to see it.

Although 3G nanos are becoming harder and harder to find new, to me, they are a better deal than the 4G- no annoying shake to shuffle feature here. Also, the colors offered are gorgeous and much less garish than those on the 4G.

Unfortunately, there are a few kinks in the 3G nano that can be quite annoying. Frequently after updating the nano, the sound will fluctuate with the slightest touch of the click wheel. Also, the click wheel is hard to control precisely when this happens, so I usually have to turn the nano off and on several times before it will function normally again. Additionally, if the nano is not synced with iTunes for a couple of weeks or more, it will begin deleting and/or moving artwork. ...
...

Avidytueab says "An inexpensive gel perfect for lashes or unruly eyebrows" about Maybelline Brow Styling Gel

I don't know about you, but I just don't get the point of expensive brow kits that cost $50++. Yes, I need something to tame the Brooke Shields-esque monsters on my face, but I don't want to shell out my entire beauty budget on a product for eyebrows (that moolah is for the fun stuff, like gloss and eye shadow!). But, as I've come to find, Vaseline just doesn't cut it.

Maybelline Brow Styling Gel to the rescue! For under $7, this tiny-tubed tool does the work of salon brand products. If you have dark, wiry brows, this Maybelline gel is a fantastic alternative to brow wax (if you have light brows and are looking to darken or thicken them, 1. be thankful and 2. realize that this product review does not apply to you- a brow pencil will probably be your best friend).

Unlike Vaseline or lotion, the gel-like texture of the Maybelline holds brows in place and doesn't flake off throughout the day, and bonus- it also can be used as clear mascara for those who want natural looking lashes. ...
...

Avidytueab says "A powerful anti-aging eye cream perfect for sensitive skin" about L'Occitane Immortelle Eye Balm

Shopping for eye creams can be a real pain, especially for users like myself with sensistive and acne-prone skin. The richness of these creams frequently causes breakouts and other skin freakouts, and to top it all off, eye creams are super expensive.

Out of all the eye products I have tried, L'Occitane Immortelle Eye Balm is the best. Although it's still fairly pricey ($36 for .5 oz), this beauty buy is a little miracle worker. In terms of age, I'm nowhere near close to needing anti-aging products, but I want to start advance protection for my skin, especially my eye area. Unlike other eye creams, Immortelle does not make me break out, and it does what it promises- it brightens, hydrates, and reduces puffiness and dark circles (and you can't beat the pretty blue glass jar it comes in).

Unfortunately, there are still a few cons with Immortelle Eye Balm: 1.) it's pricey; 2.) it doesn't last long; 3.) if you let it sit for more than a few months, you end up with a gross and...
...

Avidytueab says "An affordable, fast, multitasking laptop" about Toshiba Satellite A305-s6905

I recently purchased the Toshiba Satellite A305 to upgrade from my older Toshiba laptop. I absolutely love this new computer! It's sleek-looking, fast, and a great PC for everyday use. I use my laptop primarily for the internet, iTunes, and school work, and I am so happy that I went ahead and purchased this model. For under $500, I have all the flexibility and speed I need for my daily tasks. My old laptop didn't have a webcam or microphone, so I am very happy that that is built-in to the Satellite A305. My only complaint is that the laptop shell shows fingerprints easily. However, this is a minor problem, so it really doesn't bother me that much.

I have already loaded thousands of songs, pictures, and several software programs to the computer, and it handles the files easily. Whether I'm downloading a song, zipping a file, or transferring pics, everything is done in seconds or minutes- a definite improvement over my old computer!

Avidytueab says "A beautiful, longlasting gel stain that mimics a natural flush" about Tarte Tarte Cheek Stain in Tipsy

How on earth can I describe how much I love Tarte Cheek Stain? For starters, the first time I used this product, I immediately gave away all my other blushes because I knew I would never go back to my old products again. I compulsively purchase a new container every six months because I would never ever want to be stuck without it. Finally, this is the only cosmetics product I make sure to wear every single day.

Although the cheek stain comes in many colors, I prefer the shade Tipsy. It's fabulous for fair-skinned types like myself- it looks completely natural and brightens up my complexion, not to mention that it has a great (but subtle) fruity scent!

My makeup tends to sweat off in humid weather, but Tarte Cheek Stain stays put. It is lightweight and refreshing, and I never experience breakouts or oily skin after wearing it (something I can't say for other blushes).

Application can be a little tricky at first, but once you master the art of knowing how much to apply, it is...
...

Avidytueab says "Defines and volumizes lashes without clumping" about Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara

I have been trying for years to find a great mascara. I'm a big fan of most Maybelline mascaras, including the tried-and-true Great Lash, but I am always testing out new products. Define-A-Lash is one of my new favorites. In my opinion, this mascara does a better job than Great Lash at defining and volumizing lashes without clumping. I love the rubberized brush- the product itself doesn't stick to the brush, and it provides the perfect application.

A few negatives I noticed with Define-a-Lash: 1.) the color is not as dramatic as in other mascaras like Great Lash. Even "Blackest Black" does not darken lashes enough. 2.) The mascara itself does not last as long as other products. Normally I keep using my mascara well past the recommended usage time (oops!), but my Define-a-Lash only lasted for about four months, and I was not using more mascara than normal. Overall, I love this product and it will be my main mascara until I find something even better.
...

Avidytueab says "A minty non-sticky lip gloss that lasts through the day" about C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lips

The age-old problem of lip gloss- how to find a product that is neither sticky nor too shiny yet longlasting and moisturizing? I have tried practically every brand of lip gloss, from drugstore finds like Bonnie Bell and NYC Color to department and specialty beauty brands like Benefit and Tarte.

C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine is by far the best lip gloss I have used. I apply my lip gloss in the morning, and it practically lasts me through dinner! The gloss is not sticky or tacky, and it provides just enough shine. Unlike with other glosses, my hair doesn't stick to my lips, and the gloss doesn't rub off when eating or drinking. A special bonus with this gloss- it smells great and freshens breath!

I have found that the original C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine is the best lip gloss in the line. I have also tried the tinted and flavored versions, but they do not seem to last nearly as long. I highly recommed this product and will only purchase this gloss from now on.
...

Avidytueab says "A mousse that instantly volumizes thin, limp hair" about Got2b fat-tastic Thickening Plumping Mousse

I have tried hair product after hair product to help volumize and thicken my fine, limp hair. Nothing really seemed to work. I used to hardly ever wear my hair down because inevitably it would become stringy and lifeless within an hour of shampooing. I purchased got2b fat-tastic Thickening Plumping Mousse after I heard a good recommendation about the brand from a friend. For about two months I have been using this product on my hair, and I swear that it works! Granted, my hair is now shoulder length (it used to be very long), but it retains bounce and volume long after I've applied the product. The consistency of the mousse is fabulous, and it smells really good! The product doesn't dry out my hair, nor does it make it too greasy. One downside is that the product is more expensive than some other brands, but CVS and other drugstores tend to run decent sales on the line about once a month. Of course, no product can be 100% perfect, but this is the closest I've come to it. ...
...

Avidytueab says "Cleans without stripping the skin, refreshes, and it works!" about Murad Clarifying Cleanser

I have been a user of Murad for almost a decade. When I was in my teens, I had horrible acne in my T-zone. I tried almost every brand of acne products, and nothing worked- they either didn't get rid of my acne or were too harsh on my skin. Then I started to use Murad- and my acne magically went away. I used the product for years until I graduated high school. I then made the stupid mistake of thinking my sking was "mature" enough to be immune to breakouts. How wrong I was. Soon after I stopped using Murad, my skin went back to its original ways. When I started using Murad again, my acne went away. Murad is still to this day the only product that keeps my acne at bay. I still get occasional mild breakouts on my chin, but 95% of the time, my skin is completely clear. Although I use the full Murad acne complex kit, the Clarifying Cleanser is probably the most integral part of the system. I love this cleanser- it's refreshing, it smells great, and it does a great job...
...
