AmyA says "A mixer that is a must in my family. KitchenAid Stand Mixer" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Classic

My mom still has her KitchenAid mixer from when she was first married and I come from a family of bakers so this machine did get a work out.

When I got marred my husband (ex now) thought he would just get me a hand mixer for Christmas and made the mistake of telling my parents that. OH that so did not fly. My parents bought me my very own KitchenAid mixer for my very own and it's still going strong.

I love to bake and I use my mixer for cookies, breads, frosting's and even mash potatoes. Oh yeah, if you want a fluffy, no lump mashed potatoes this is the machine to have. As mom puts it...add potatoes, milk and butter and beat the H. E. double tooth picks out of (she didn't break it down like that teehee).

I like that the KitchenAid even has different attachments for it. I have the slicer and greater for veggies and cheese and they are done in a snap. Easy to attach too. My next will be the pasta kit with the roller, pasta cutter, ravioli maker etc. They also have a food grinder...
...

AmyA says "Do you clothes smell right out of the dryer fresh after a week?" about Arm & Hammer Arm & Hammer Total 2-In-1 Moist Dryer Cloths, Classic Fresh

I am amazed at the Arm & Hammer Total 2 in 1 dryer cloths. I went to get a shirt out that I washed last week from my closet and it still smells just as fresh like I took it right out of the dryer (minus the warm part).

These are a moist towel that you put on top of your clothes when you put them in the dryer. I used one towel in on dryer and two in another and both kept that very fresh scent for the week.

It's a fabric softener and a static guard sheet all in one. So toss the fabric bottle away, you don't need it. The package contains a 40 sheet count with a package that reseals to keep that fresh scent working. I will even tuck in the dried dryer sheets in my closet and drawers since it still has that fresh scent in it.

Arm & Hammer Total 2 in 1 Dryer cloths come in three different scents: Classic Fresh (my favorite), Lavendar & Vanilla and Wild flowers.

It was funny I was dying my clothes and the neighbor came out to take a sniff and wondered what smelled so good so I...
...

AmyA says "Do you remember your mom taking you in the neighborhood bakery?" about Simple Simon Bakery Bakery and goodies

Oh I remember being little and my mom taking me into the local bakery and the smell that filled the place was a gift all in it's own, chocolate, cinnamon, fresh baked bread and all sorts of great items. Smells can give you a great memory flash back.

I had just a flash back on my trip to Simple Simon Bakery located here in Appleton Wisconsin. I have had their cookies before when I gave blood (so tasty) and it reminded me of when I was little and had the cookie had the exact same taste, so I had to see what was up with this bakery.

You walk into this little, local bakery and all the senses are dancing with the great aroma of the store and then I looked to see what they all had while others were being waited on. Oh my, home (store) baked cakes, cookies, scones, donuts, wheat, white, rye breads, roll and a lot more and hearing the lady behind the counter you know everything was made with love.

All were waited on and it was my turn (the line went fast). Marian a wonderful and very helpful...
...

AmyA says "Oh My Gawwwwwwwwwwd this Special K bar is sooooo good!" about Kellogg's - Special K Bar - Chocolatey Pretzel - 6 count box

OK, when something has chocolate and pretzels I must try it. Yes, I see chocolate covered pretzel's and I am fighting with myself..."No, No, not good for you, but Ohhhh so good".

I saw something new from Kellogg's Special K. It's the Chocolaty pretzel snack bar. I looked I kept walking and thought to myself..."Did that box say chocolate and pretzels?" I of course had to go back and check. Ohhhhhh chocolate, pretzels soooooooooo good and look only 90 calories per bar. Hmmm it flew into my cart and I have to say I am happy about that.

It not only has my favorites of delicious chocolate and pretzels together, but it has a bit of crunch from the pretzels and chewy goowiness. One bite and my eyes rolled up into my head...I wasn't going to raise my steaks to high that this low-cal snack bar was going to taste go or even have flavor, but I have to say these are! They Have Flavor! Sweet and Salty, but not over kill on either.

You have to check it out...You can find these anywhere,...
...

It's great to be a Bzz agent with all the great items we get to try and give our feed back to the company to help them better their products.

My latest campaign was Loreal Advanced Revitalift Deep-set Wrinkle Repair. I received one each (full size) of the Night cream and Day lotion. Avg cost of each in NE Wisconsin is $17 each.

The day lotion is very light in texture and absorbs quickly. It has SPF 15 for sun protection which was a plus, but during the day my face was feeling very dry. Others that I had given samples too found they were having the same issues. Plus signs of breaks outs. I don't break out and oh my on my chin. Wasn't to happy about that.

The night cream I was liking more and even found myself using it during the day because I didn't dry out, but for the time of the campaign I used the two as directed to make sure the results could be recorded correctly. The night cream I felt made more of the difference. Not oily, but just right.

Hi Peeps...Snickers here and want to tell you to GIVE ME TREATS...LOTS OF TREATS and make sure it's Party Mix from Friskies. My sister "Scrappy" and I LOVE party mix. It comes in four flavors and each one is delish.

Beachside crunch ~ Shrimp, crap and tuna flavor

Mixed grill crunch ~ Chicken, beef and salmon flavor

Original crunch ~ Chicken, liver and turkey flavor

Picnic crunch ~ Chicken, turkey and cheddar

So good my mom and dad have to hide the bags from me because I would go into my treat box and just help myself by grabbing the bag and chewing it until I get it ripped open. What can I say this stuff is really good, crunchy and all sorts of fun shapes and colors just like the humans' party mix, but mine is better.

Mom tried to take a picture of the shapes and colors, but my sister and I ate what she had out. Sowwy. It comes in a 2.1 oz bag (should come in a 20 pound bag). When we go to PetSmart mom picks up a few bags, but for some reason won't...
...

AmyA says "Come along on my Topsy Turvy review Garden season 2009" about Topsy Turvy Upside - Down Tomato Planter

5/2/09I have had so many ask me if I will use the Topsy Turvy tomato planter this year and so I caved and bought one at Walgreen's for $9.99. Contains one Topsy Turvy and directions.

To set it straight I am iffy on this product, but out of fairness and loving to garden I will be putting it to the test in my garden this year. I thought I would take the reader along for this garden season. So please come back because I will be updating this review as I go along to share my adventure of the Topsy Turvy with pictures.

I am iffy because of the weight of the tomato plant with fruits. Why? I just feel that sucker is going to pull right out of the planter when it gets heavy, but hoping it does work because it is a nice space saver.

Lest get started:

I first went to buy a Sheppard's hook to stick into the ground.

Very simple to get it going.

Take off the two top covers.

Pull out the thick slit sponge at the bottom.

Slip your tomato plant into the sponge.

Carefully slide your tomato plant...

...

AmyA says "A Green smoothie packed with your servings of fruits and vegies " about bolthouse Green Goodness

I have watched interviews and TV ads of people drinking healthy juices that include the fruits and veggies and it would be something I would like to try to put into my diet, but pricing juicers and the memory of mom and dad's juicer was still loud in my memories and how many times would I really use it if I did buy a juicer?

I was at my local Roundy's store the other day and near the health food section I noticed they had some new juices. Lets ponder. I spotted a bottle that said 8 1/3 servings of fruits and veggies. Antioxidant rich. Well now we have something here. I figured it was good tasting because it had a Kiwi and a granny smith apple on the front of it.

I purchased it ($3.49 for a 1 quart bottle). I got home and just had to try this. I poured...Oh my what did I get myself into this time? It's an olive green color and being a smoothie it's thicker then a juice. I was iffy and I thought whats the worst that can happen? Hey, this stuff isn't to bad. It's actually...
...

AmyA says "They nap, they play...the girls new toy/bed/play center" about Sport Pet Cat Play Center

Yes I myself and everyone that knows me know my girls (my cats) Scrappy and Snickers are spoiled and then some.

I was at Walmart and came across a play center by Sport Pet that I thought the girls would just love. Something they can climb on, take a nap in the built in hammock, jump on the jumping platform, play peek-a-boo in the "peek-a-boo holes and smack around the dangle balls. Snickers likes to take naps on the very top of the unit too.

I thought this was going to be a bear to put together, but it was pretty simple and I had it together in 10 minutes. It is very sturdy...I was worried about it tipping over, but it hasn't and I am happy about that.

Bright red, blue and yellow colors make this a fun toy to look at too. This is a great toy for kittens and adult cats too. Both of my girls play on this every single day and that makes me happy too.

I have only found this at Walmart for around $20. It's nice and light and measures: 15.5 inches for Length, 30 inches Width and 30...
...

AmyA says "Mopping made easy" about Swiffer Mop

While talking to a co-worker at work we started talking about mops and that fun job. I said I wanted to get a "steam mop" and she said she had one and prefers her Swiffer mop.

So I went out to purchase a Swiffer mop (saved me cash compared to the steam mop) I brought it home, put it together, popped in the batteries (not included) and the cleaner (came with the mop kit along with some pads) and off I went. All very simple. Since I am a Febreze junkie I also purchased another of the Swiffer cleaner with Febreze sure my girls (my cats) were napping so they would stay out of my way while mopping HA. I didn't want to spray them. So that was a worry of mine with pets around.

Pads were simple to attach and all I had to do was spray and mop. The cleaner for the mop had a nice scent and really good cleaning power that I noticed right away.

I did notice that the changing of pads were more frequent then what I wanted to do and while the cleaner did dry quickly, my floors didn't...
...

Your sitting at work, your bra straps start to fall down the shoulders. Your out for a walk, your bra straps start to fall down the shoulders.

I don't know if you have this issue (I know there are many out there) and they still fall when I tighten the straps. I myself do have this issue, but NO MORE. A friend at work and I were talking and as I was sitting there chit chatting I noticed the ole bra straps were falling down, but once again. I said GRRRRR and my friend knew the issue because she used to have it and told me about Strap Perfect. I asked if they really work and she said "oh yeah, I don't leave home with out it". Hmmm I then asked where she bought them at. "Walgreens" in the "As seen on TV" isle.

Ok, I will admit I am a tad strange, but as I get older my hair has me beat. You see over the years I had a mild wave to my hair and as I get older I look like the rest of my family. All have very curly hair and now I do too.

I might have more curls, but they can be unruly with fly away ends and frizz. I found 6.8 oz Garnier Fructis Style Curl Construct Mousse. It's a very light mousse that goes one without any stickiness witch is a plus for me.

It gives my curls a little boost and gives me a frizz-less look that I have been looking for. I love this in the front section of my hair because for some reason it has less curl then the rest of my head and instead of putting in some rollers or have the front permed I just mouse and go. I get great curls and blends in to the rest of my hair.

It holds all day and doesn't weigh my hair down at all and this is also a plus because my hair is very baby fine. When it's almost dry I lift it up a bit with a pic and I have even more volume....
...

AmyA says "Make your hair say YIPPY and ahhhhhh over and over. " about Fermodyl 07 Leave-In Treatment for Fine, Limp Virgin Hair

When I worked in a hair salon we would recommend to people to use Roux Fermodyl for their hair. In some cases where the hair was going to get a perm and seemed a bit damaged we would use the Fermodyl as a pre-treatment to protect the hair from extreme damage. (If you color your hair or perm I would recommend a hair elasticity test to see if your hair is strong enough...if you can pull your hair with the chemical on your hair and it bounces back...your good to go...If your hair snaps with now bounce...hold off on the chemical treatment for awhile).

Fermodyl 07 is a wonder conditioner for Fine, Limp, Processed Hair (they also have a 07 for virgin hair as well, please read label before purchase). It helps to increase volume and fullness. The collagen formula treats and conditions hair that needs a good protein drink. It also helps to repair surface damage and seals the cuticle on the hair to leave a nice shine. This is more of a once a month treatment.

Fermodyl is a snap to use. Shampoo...
...

I have been a big Queen Helene fan for many years now and happy to find they have a Antioxidant Grape Seed Extract Masque and the plus part is, is that it's a peel off mask...Ahhh brings me back to the days when I would put glue on the tips of my fingers and peel them off. Something comforting in doing that.

What this peel will do for your face is it will help those clogged pours, sofens facial lines, soothes and tones skin. It really does. I find this masque very relaxing and a blast to peel off.

Just spread it onto clean skin (face and neck) and the masque will dry and draws out impurities. I start at the jaw line and work my way up my face avoiding eye brows and hair line (trust me on this one...it's a tad tricky to get the masque out of those areas). It will wash off if you do have this issue. Leave on for 10 min or more (that is what I tend to do...I start something while masque is doing it's thin, but you will feel it drying and start to peel around your mouth).
...

AmyA says "This vaccum sucks up a storm and then some" about Hoover U01 WindTunnel Bagged Upright Vacuum

I said time and time again I wasn't going to do a review on my new vacuum because I love it so much and I have jinxed myself before when I did a review and then the vacuum took a dive, but I think I have had my Hoover long enough to let you know about it and what I think of it.

The Hoover Wind Tunnel Supreme Bagged Uright Vacuum is a wonderful little vacuum with A LOT of suction!

At one point I chose to go with the bagless models and just didn't have any luck with them. So like my phones I went back to the old versions...The phone went back to a cord and the vacuum went back to a bag. I do not regret my choice on either. (My husband thought a cordless phone would be better and replaced my corded phone and I told him to leave my vacuum alone. At last I found one that worked and works well.

The Hoover Wind Tunnel does use bags, but still has the wind tunnel action. I am amazed everytime I turn it on and it starts to travel. There is a little on board green that that...
...

AmyA says "Walking my way to my skinny jeans..." about Gold's Gym Trainer 550 treadmill

I have seen many pros and con reviews of the Gold's Gym Trainer 550, but so far I am personally still in the pros instead of the cons.

The Gold's Gym 550 trainer offers me a selection of weight control programs (4). Put in your age, weight, calories you want to burn and it will give you a great work out that is just right for you. Yes, there are moment I say a few choice words to the trainer, but it is one heck of a work out and nice to see the numbers going down on the scale.

If you don't want a pre programmed work out that is fine too. You have the choice of the speed and incline you want to do. The incline will go up to 10%. Yeah, doesn't sound like much, but I dare you to give it a try...makes your tushy and thighs say talk to you.

The display is a crisp, easy to read digital. It has a selection of work outs and my hubby even was jogging on it (who is this man). If you have an IPod, plug it in and work out to your favorite tunes or just find a nice show and walk away...
...

AmyA says "A motion-activated air freshener spray by Glade" about Glade Sense & Spray (Automatic Spray)

I love a clean smelling home and with two cats and a hubby that now smokes cigars to replace cigarettes hmmmmmm.

Well I was invited to a BzzAgent campaign for the Glade Sense & Spray motion-activated spray and I thought why not.

I was worried that if my grandson would come over he would run back and forth to activated it over and over again and then stuck with an over sprayed home. Not the case with this air freshener. Once it sprays it locks for a half hour and if you need an extra spurt just press the button for extra freshness.

It holds scented oil for 30 days depending on where you place it. It lets you now when it's ready to be activated by a blinking light. Walk past it and a spurt of freshness comes out. My favorite is the "Clean Linen".

They also have scents that come in "Apple Cinnamon", Powder Fresh" and "Country Garden". I would like to see a nice Lemon and just a plane Apple scent, but I put that in one of my reports for my future wish list.

The spray unit does require...
...

AmyA says "It sweeps up fur and takes care of my couch nubbies" about Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair

Being a Bzz Agent I get to try out some fun stuff. I signed up for the Pledge Fabric Sweeper. It picks up fur with just a few sweeps.

I let the girls (my medium fur cats) shed on their cat condo until the sweeper arrived. This sweeper really picked up the fur quick and easy. Scrappy (older cat) even loved to have it rubbed on her back.

Not only did it pick up the fur easy with a few swipes back and forth, but when I tried it on my "newish" couch I found it even took care of the nubbies that were starting to show up and it looks like new again (yippy).

It sells for around $5.99 and they say you can use it until it's full and toss it, but I just pop out one of the rollers to empty it, pop the roller back in and sweep up more fur. I like that it is easy on my hands too as far as the grip goes.

Shedding season is not a worry any more because of my Pledge Fabric Sweeper.

I have found this at Wal-mart, Roundy stores, Target etc.
...

AmyA says "Cheese water doesn't fly with this Wisconsin chick" about Annie's Homegrown Organic Shells & Real Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese, 6 Oz Boxes (Pack Of 12)

I love my mac and cheese like the next guy, but this Wisconsin chick needs her cheese and a good tasting cheese at that. Annie's organic shells and sharp cheddar cheese powder just didn't do it for me and I am really surprised at the amount they charge for this product for what is offered.

I couldn't give this a "poor" in the star department because the noodles cooked up well, organic, I like the name Annie and I love the packaging. (where you open the box is a cute little bunny butt). It's the little things that humor me, but when it comes to mac and cheese I don't mess around even with the box stuff. I think I have tried them all and Annie's Homegrown Organic Shells & Real Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese has to be the worst as far as cheese taste (I had to add cheese to their watery cheese sauce).

I give them koodo's for using sharp cheddar cheese in the product because this at least gave them some kind of a taste where as if they would have used a mild cheddar it would have been...
...

AmyA says "This Stiletto won't hurt your feet :)" about Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara

Ok, you won't see me in Stiletto heals, but you will find me wearing Maybelline's new mascara "Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara".

I saw the TV ad and with my "fun money" I thought why not. I am not upset, it really does go that extra mile to lengthen my lashes. The trick is, is not to let each application dry and let the brush grab your lashes and take them to another level. I also like that it has vitamins to condition, but it's suppose to have a "black patent shine", but I haven't really noticed that and have to say I am happy about it too. Not really sure how lashes with a shine would be.

It does go on smooth once you have the hang of the application (takes time), but at first I was having some clumping issues and would comb through my lashes with the back end of an eyebrow brush.

I would purchase this again (on sale, coupons because it sells for around $8 in the mid-west) because it is a nice product, conditions and really does lengthen your lashes.

Lash Stiletto Ultimate...
...
