AGWNGWMOM says "Great family game for an evening or weekend" about Mexican Train Dominoes

This is a great game. In a world of electronic beeps and buzzes, it is refreshing to be able to play a game that doesn't do either. It is a great game for 3 or more people, OK with 2 people. We enjoy playing as a family--my 4 year old son and I usually play as a team and then my dad and my 10 year old daughter are the 2 other individual players. It can take a long time to complete the game (13 rounds if the 12's are used), but you can always decide to call it quits after 1 or more rounds. There are sets of 12 and 15--the 15 is harder, and would be better with more people playing. The object is to make 'trains' of the dominoes you draw, but if you can't, you start new trains if you have the dominoes to do it, or hope you can build on to other trains to avoid making your train a ghost train. Who ever runs out of their tiles first wins the round and collects the points from the other players based on the dominoes they have left. My only...

AGWNGWMOM says "Fantastic knowledge of literature twisted into the most comical" about Thursday Next: First Among Sequels

All the Jasper Fforde books are fantastic. The humor is quirky, and the plots are unique and captivating. Fforde's knowledge of literature has to be tremendous to create the 'Thursday Next' books. The continued ties to the previous books makes having read them a must to enjoy all the facets of the story line in this latest book. I agree with a previous review that this book is a bit slow to start, but once you are in it, it moves just as fast as the others did. If you love clever, whimsical plot lines and word play, I would strongly recommend all of Jasper Fforde's books. I am looking forward to the next 'Thursday...

AGWNGWMOM says "Fantastic movie with great ending" about The Illusionist

This movie was fantastic. The plot is interesting, I certainly didn't guess the ending, and loved the magic. It is better to rent or own, so you can re-review the ending and get all the bits that flash by tying it all together. Poor boy and rich girl are in love, rich family tears them apart, poor boy makes good but evil man already in line to marry rich girl, poor boy gets girl in the end. It is a more realistic, darker 'Princess...

AGWNGWMOM says "Horrible customer service if you live in Atlanta" about Delta Airlines

Delta really doesn't care for the people that travel out of Atlanta since it knows it has a captive market. I have been shut out of flights, treated rudely despite Platinum status on business travel overseas because I wasn't a million miler. It is the only airline I travel overseas on that I can not check in online for an overseas flight and you are held to checking in at the airport. They are very uncaring of their elite customers in the Atlanta area, unless you are a million miler. My brother and his friends have different experiences out of the NYC area, though, flying Delta. Possibly because they have a lot of competition there and very little for no stop/connection overseas flights in the Atlanta...

AGWNGWMOM says "Flexibility of rewards is great and so is gold SPG status" about American Express - Starwood Hotels Credit Card

As per the frequent flyer gurus, this is a great card for someone who loves to travel. You earn extra points if you use this at starwood properties. Starwood allows you to transfer the points to airlines and if you transfer 20,000 points usually at a 1:1 mile ratio, you actually get 25,000. I don't pay attention to interest rates since I pay the balance in full each month. Better yet, if you charge a certain amount each year, you automatically qualify for gold starwood preferred guest status, so if you are a business traveler like me, it qualifies you for various perks at the hotels, including extra starwood points for your...
