Tiger Electronics FurReal Friends Pony: Butterscotch

Tiger Electronics FurReal Friends Pony: Butterscotch
buying classic toys, into trying new things

NOV

2009
My sister got Butterscotch from Santa two Christmas' ago, she is 9 now, and still loves her. Butterscotch has held up perfect, I am confused at the reviews saying it has torn up.
We have a family of 5, with two dogs and Butterscotch still looks new, minus where she is sat on; the fur lays down flat. She sits on the pony to watch tv, brushes her everyday, and loves to practice putting her halter on and off. When she has friends over, they all go nuts to play with Butterscotch.
My two year old brother loves playing and riding with Butterscotch as well, and can get up without any help. My sister...

A political and tactical mastermind, Senator Palpatine represents the people of Naboo in the Galactic Senate and engineers his own election as Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. - From the package blurb

Star Wars fans -- especially those who have read the novelizations of A New Hope and Return of the Jedi -- have known that the evil Emperor was once Senator Palpatine, an ambitious politician who cleverly maneuvered his way up the ranks of the Galactic Senate and into the Republic's highest elected office.

In the Prequel Trilogy  writer-director George Lucas showed audiences how Palpatine worms...

I've been collecting Star Wars action figures ever since some friends of mine gave me, as my 15th birthday present, the first version of Kenner's Landspeeder vehicle and the original R2-D2 and C-3PO figures over 30 years ago.

For the next seven years I was constantly going on what I now call "figure runs" to such stores as Lionel Play World, Sears, K-mart and the then-new Toys R Us.  Every time Kenner released a new 12-figure "collection" of characters from Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi, I'd be feeling both anticipation and frustration; I wanted them all, but my life...

LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table

NOV

2009

I bought this product  fLeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table gor my ten  month old son for Christmas and he loved it. he really Played with it for hours. After about two weeks the sound started to skip and stutter. I would have to turn it off and on a few times to get it to stop. He cried everytime we had to turn it off. I did not mind that so much because my son LOVED the table. Two months after buying this product it no longer works at all. No sound no nothing. I changed the batteries and still nothing. My son is very upset because it was one of his favorite toys. Leap Frog does not do...

In March of 2010, I will not only celebrate my 47th birthday, but I will also mark the 32nd Anniversary of becoming a Star Wars action figure collector.

Since I have been collecting those small replicas of major and minor characters from the six live-action Star Wars movies for over three decades, I have many memories and tales about the good, the bad and the frustrating sides of my hobby.

Because Kenner and its successor Hasbro have made so many action figures, vehicles, playsets and accessory assortments, I do not have a complete Star Wars collection.  Not even during the Kenner figures'...

NOV

2009

Lights, Camera, Interaction Melissa & Doug Shape Sorter Box holds four scenes that can be slid out and also stored within the box.

This one has four scenes:

  • transportation
  • house
  • farm
  • pets

It also contains five shapes:

  • oval
  • rectangle
  • circle
  • square
  • triangle

Each scene has the five shapes cut out. Choose one scene to slide into the top groove in the box. Children can choose which shape fits into the holes. Once the correct shape is chosen, the piece will fall through into the box. Only the correct shape will fit, and the shapes are brightly colored.

My Viewpoint:

LeapFrog my pal scout

LeapFrog my pal scout
buying for a baby

NOV

2009

First off this leapfrog my pal scout is so adorable! It comes with a USB cable to go online and customize the dog to say your babys name as well as favorite food, animal  and color. You can also select five morning songs and five bedtime songs to program the dog to play from a list of thirty songs. You can program the bedtime songs to turn off when the child falls asleep. There is an activites mode that  teaches counting, colors, feelings and animal sounds. There are two levels of volume control although I feel the low level could be a little softer. My granddaughter loves her leapfrog...

Mattel 14" Lightning Mcqueen Car

Mattel 14" Lightning Mcqueen Car

NOV

I have a 3 year old son, and he just loves the Cars movie. We got him this Lightning Mcqueen  Car, that moves, talks and plays music, last year for his birthday.Ever since then this thing goes every where my son goes. It is fun to watch my son chase it all around the house which is actually kinda cute. It is a great toy to buy for your son or daughter, if they enjoy toys that move on there own. I will say the battery life is not as great as it should be specially if your child is playing with the car on a daily basis all day long, i would say the battery life would probably last about 3 to 4...

I got this for my daughter when she was about 8 months old.  She really liked another Little People toy (the farm) so I thought this would be good too.  She did like the animals but the Ark doesn't really do much.  Other than putting the animals in and taking them out, there wasn't much else, no sound like the other Little People toys.  We had to engage her more with this set.  We would talk about the mommy and daddy animals, which was obvious with the lions, and then when she was older, we would count the animals.  Now, she will sometimes play with this set.  She will line all the animals...

I got this toy for my daughter when she was about 8 months old.  She would sit and look at the different animals, holding them and putting them in the barn.  She also enjoyed pressing and moving the different parts to hear the animal sounds and song.  As she got older, it was still entertaining for her as she would make the animals interact and put them in their "proper" place in the barn.  Even at 2 1/2, she still loves this toy.  She makes the animals talk to each other and she's engaging others in her pretend play.  We've gotten a few more animals and added them to the barn so...

My daughter absolutely loves her learning zoo!   I got this for her 2nd birthday and she hasn't stopped playing with it since.  She spends longer with this toy than any others that she has and it's so fun to watch her use her imagination.  The animals are cute and easy for her to grasp and the buttons on the mat are easy enough for her to push.  She loves finding the animals after she pushes a button and repeats both the letter, animal name and sound.  She can correctly identify all of the animals by name and that was only after a month or so!  It's so much fun to watch her laugh and play. ...
