Granted, rabbits aren't as easy to take care of as cats - they are very sociable creatures and their digestive systems are very delicate, not to mention their "messes", plus they will practically want to chew anything they see (and in my experience, they also have big appetites!).  But they… read full review »

Miniature Rex, cute but expensive. Don't get me wrong, we love our 3 female Mini Rex and are not planning to give them up. However the longer we have them, the more we realize that they can be expensive and a lot of work. I think one alone would have been sufficient, but we got one for each of our… read full review »

I AM SO IN LOVE WITH BUNNY RABBITS!  I would highly recommend any of them to anyone.  I have fostered many rabbits, rescued them and luckily I was able to adopt some of mine out to some of my really good, responsible, loving and patient friends.  These little guys are very adorable and fun and snuggly and would be great pets.  They are always allowed everywhere such as apartments, condos, duplexes, etc. and you can carry them in little purses like you would with little toy doggies! — If you adopt from the shelter or another rabbit organization, they are usually… read full review »

I never thought that pets beyond dogs and cats had personality, or at least not strong personalities, but my first rabbit taught me differently. She's adorable for one, and an absolute drama queen. Each of my rabbits has their own unique personality, they're fairly easy to care for--litterbox trained so trips downstairs to go out or constant confinement in cages isn't necessary. — Rabbits aren't for everyone though. Their digestive systems are very touchy and a little research to know the right foods and in what quantities is necessary to keep them in good health. Also, with most… read full review »

This is by far the best $30 I have ever spent! Who would have thought that a person can get such a great, lovable, entertaining companion for so cheap? I have a black male mini lop rabbit who is about 6 months old now and I wouldn't trade him for the world. The moment I laid eyes on him in the pet store, I instantly fell in love and had to take him home. I had wanted a rabbit for quite a while at that point and decided that this is the day I take home my rabbit. He is litter trained and is very neat and clean and essentially takes care of him self by bathing, eating when he wants, etc. … read full review »

I HIGHLY reccoment a small bunny or rabbit. They are wonderfull pets and are fun to watch grow up. I have a flemish giant rabbit, one of the largest species. she is longer than 2 feet. — She Does not bite but SHE HAS MONSTER CLAWS and scratches by accident! — MOst people have smaller rabbits and Are much easyer to take care of. They do live a long time for a rodent. — However, it is hard to find a good vet for rabbits, Not many people specalize in them because not as amny people have them as cats and dogs. —… read full review »

Hello! I had a rabbit before and I think they are great pets if you have a large space. The rabbit likes to graze in large grassy areas. They are not hard to take care of.They are very quiet animals to have.Do not let them run around the house. They like to chew on cords and wires.I had a rabbit that ruined a video game system of… read full review »

We have had 3 different pet rabbits over the past 10 years.  Overall, I love them as pets.  They are quiet and easy.  We have kept all ours inside, in a large cage in the kitchen.  — Our first 2 rabbits were Netherland Dwarfs.  Our current rabbit is a bit large lop-eared.  All are sweet animals which our kids (ages 10,8, and 6) love.  I think smaller rabbits are probably better choices if you plan to keep the pet indoors. — Our rabbits have all had health concerns of some type.  The first rabbit had front teeth which did not fit together… read full review »

We had a bunny come to live with us 4 years ago.  He just hopped up one day and said he was   going to stay!!!  He came in the garage and wouldn't leave.  We thought he was a wild rabbit at first, because he looked like one.  We took him to the vet and he said we had a tame bunny.  We guess he was someone's pet and they turned him loose.  When we found out he was a tame bunny we couldn't turn him loose.  So we took him in and it is the best thing we ever did!!!!  The little guy has wound himself around our hearts.  He is a major part of… read full review »

I've had 5 Mini Rexes and 1 Netherland Dwarf over the past 12 years and I can say that they are the BEST pets - very intelligent, loving, and affectionate.  PLEASE get them spayed/neutered if you get them for a pet.  Females have less chance of getting cancer when they are spayed and will live longer. Males are tamer and less aggressive when they are neutered. They need Timothy hay and organic apple wood to chew on.  Pet bunnies don't also do well with dogs and rarely with cats because they are prey animals but mine have always gotten along well with my 3 chinchillas and 3… read full review »

I NEVER THOUGHT THAT RABBITS WERE SMART AT ALL BUT THEY ARE. THEY MAKE A TERRIFIC PET. GRANTED I CANNOT SEEM TO LITTER TRAIN BUGAR SHE IS STILL THE GREATEST. SHE IS SO FUNNY SOMETIMES. I LIKE SOMEONE ELSE THAT I READ IN THERE REVIEW, WAS IN THE PETSTORE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH MY RABBIT. I BARELY WALKED OUT THE DOOR WITH HER. I HAD TO TALK TO MY FIANCE ABOUT LETTING ME GET IT AND I HAD TO AGREE TO HIM GETTING HIS ANIMAL OF CHOICE THE NEXT TIME WE GET ONE. IT IS SO FUNNY THOUGH. I have a little black and white dwarf bunny and I love her to death! She's relatively quiet, but she knows how to tell me if she needs something. They are clean animals so you don't really have to bathe them.Contrary to popular belief you can potty train them! Therefore, they are easy to clean up after. They are normally very friendly and they loved to be brushed. As ironic as it sounds, my rabbit and I love some of the same things! We both enjoy walking outside in the sunshine, and we both like grapes and salad.Which makes her pretty easy to shop for. She's happy doing simple things like… read full review »

Rabbits are great pets if you buy a large cage (actual size depends on size of the rabbit), plus add a pen for play and exercise.  Rabbits, unlike cats, for example, have been raised in cages or hutches for many, many years, and in the wild, most often live in cramped, underground burrows.  Therefore, I do not feel guilty about not letting them free range of the house, as long as they have an exercise pen.  This keeps them from chewing on your furniture, rugs and power cords!  So if you would like to try having a pet rabbit, remember the rabbit will be happy and… read full review »

we use to have a newfoundland dwarf rabbit.  he was great, small but had a really big attitude.  he ran around the house when supervised and had a pen otherwise.  he would put our dog and cats in there places along with us.  he would growel when he didn't want to be bothered and would take a bite if that didn't work.  thought he was a dog i guess.  as for feeding he liked certain things and certain things didn't like him,  just like any other animal.  you need to figure out what is good for him and whats not.  he was a 2lb ball of trouble but was… read full review »

Once you understand what a rabbit is really like you can prepare to be amazed. Each rabbit has his or her own personality. Bunnies will come when called. They will pull at pant legs for attention. They will sleep on the bed with their human and sit on their lap. Rabbits get along with other animals as long as the other animals get along with them. Cats and rabbits can be good companions. Dogs and rabbits will groom each other. Rabbits are eternally curious and interested in their surroundings. They play with toys and they dance with joy. Rabbits kept outside never become family members and… read full review »
