priceline —

I booked a hotel through Priceline.com, and paid seventy five dollars for a supposedly three star hotel. We show up at the Travelodge(!) and found out not only did they not have a indoor pool, but served no breakfast. We spent two hours on the phone trying to explain that those were only requirements we had for our hotel room.  After talking to the supervisor, the shift supervisor, the floor supervisor and at least three customer service "specialists", they informed us that on their website, by their standards, only four star hotels fit that criteria. After explaining to them that we saw seaveral 3 star hotels that had indoor pools and served full breakfasts, they deemed it to be misprints or slip ups on their parts. We ended up going to a Holiday Inn and paying for it ourselves, due to pricelines refusal to transfer our reservation or grant any form of refund. After calling and emailing the higher ups in the company, they offered us a ten..thats right 10, percent discount on future reservations. Needless to say, there wont be any.
