quiet, slim, modern looking, and extremely fun these are the easiest words to discribe the PLAYSTATION 2 SLIM CONSOLE i already bought 1 and it's travel bag , all of my favorite movies and series have a game on it , like "the simpsons" , "24 the game " ... and much much more try it and you wont regret you have my word you can even have an internet connection on it and play on-line games such as the sequel to mortal kombat " mortal kombat Armageddon" :) that is just the beginning with the play station 2 slim console , since it has a built in dvd player then you will enjoy all the movies you like...

PLAYSTATION 2 Slim Console

       Recently I purchased the New & Improved  PS2 Slim Console in the chrome color scheme for the LOW LOW price of only $79.99 (before Sales Tax of 7% in Ohio.) I had previoulsy owned the original PS2 in solid black, but it quickly became problematic. However, the new PS2 Slim has been left on and played an average of 8 hours a day since we bought it; without a single functional error. Furthermore, my son aged 6 and my 3 yr. old daughter are able to play the console with remarkable ease for their age.

We originally bought the non-slim console and it burnt out fairly quickly. It just got too hot. The slim console allows air to flow through the product and therefore the life of the slim console is much longer than the regular gaming console.

This little guy is a workhorse. With 4 kids all wanting to play games, and little fingers opening and closing and putting the games in and out it's worked for years. I played the playstation 2 slim when it first came out. i was impressed that it held up so well being as it didn't have a fan inside. It didn't overheat even when I would put a DVD in and let it run all night. I like to fall asleep watching movies and I was afraid the first time I did it that I would burn up the unit. no such thing happened. The games are fairly well produced for being an older gen console, even by today's comparisons.  The games are great, the controller is totally hodlable and easy to navigate even for noobs. It;'s not every day that Sony gets soemthing right, heck, it isn't...

When playstation 2 the slim version first came out it was pretty cool because it was a system that you could actually carry around without hassle. It was pretty cool because it could play Playstation 1 games as well as Playstation 2 games. The fact that the power cord was made so long made it easy enough to find a plug. The graphics for the time and age was pretty good. I thought though that it could of been improved because in comparison to the Playstation 1 console the Playstation 2 hardly had any games to it in comparison. Although it was easily portable it just meant that it could also be damaged...

The truth be known that the Play Station 2 is worth every bit of the money you would spend on it. I still use it to play Tomb Raider and Prince of persia. It has gotten knocked around alot and still kicking.
