When I went to the Doctor earlier this year after a bout with pneumonia, he told me that I had gained 30lbs since I had seen him last! I knew I had put on some weight, but, I never realized it was that much!!! I told him, I don't understand, I haven't changed my eating habits, I'm not eating more than I used to, or anything a lot more fattening, why am I gaining weight? He said, "Your 30 now. Everything's pretty much down hill from here...just kidding." But, he did explain that as you age, you HAVE to change your eating habits, because your metabolism changes. I knew this, I just guess I was in denial!! Anyway, I asked him if there was anything he could give me to help. I've always had weight issues, and it's never been easy for me to loose weight, I just wanted some help.

He gave me Phenteramine. I don't have RX insurance, so I was a little wary, but, I get my RX's at K-Mart pharmacy, and while it wasn't on the "4 dollar plan" (bummer!), they do have a RX discount card that they use for customers who don't have RX insurance, and it came to a little over $17. I can handle that. I began to take them, and almost immediately I noticed a change.

My appetite was EXTREMELY suppressed. I just didn't get hungry like I used to. And, I would fix the same amount of food on my plate as usual, but, I wouldn't even be able to eat half of it!! It didn't make me feel jittery (which I was really worried about). I did have a little trouble sleeping the first week or so, but, eventually even that went away! I have had some nausea as well, but, changing the time that I take the pill (after breakfast instead of before) has stopped that as well.

I have been on the medicine for 5 months and I have lost 25lbs. That may not seem like a lot to some people, but, I want to lose it slowly, because, as I've heard from A LOT of people, as well as my physician, that is the healthiest and best way to lose weight and KEEP it off, which I fully intend to do.

If you have weight issues, and your Doctor thinks this medicine may help you, I encourage you to try it. It's the best thing I've done for myself in a long time.

This is such an interesting review. Like many people who are sedentary because of chronic illness, it's really hard to keep my goal weight because I can't exercise. Something to ask my doc about.

I've never heard of this but am going to ask my doctor about it. I'm also in my 30's and losing weight is SO slow now. I remember when I could easily lose 10 pounds in a week. Now it takes two months to lose that much. Nice review!

Excellent review! I totally agree with this product. When I hit my 30's my body changed as well. I did try these and lost 20lbs in a few months. It's been the ONLY thing that has ever worked on me. Maybe I should try them again....
