I picked up this Paula Deen 3 Quart Swirl Casserole Dish last December after Christmas. I had $15 worth of vouchers and really wasn't looking to spend any more money in order to use them. When I saw this pretty and swirly casserole dish for $19.99, I figured that it was a deal that I shouldn't pass up despite the fact that I had no clue who Paula Deen was.
This 3 Quart Casserole Dish is microwave, dishwasher, oven, and refrigerator-safe stoneware. The swirl lid is attractive, but it doesn't seal tightly so you wouldn't want to try to roast something in this dish. What it is great for, however, is baking casseroles and keeping things warm in the oven while you finish sauces or the rest of the meal. I use my Paula Deen 3 Quart Casserole Dish several times a week during the colder months and at least once a week in the summer. It really has been a wonderful addition to my cookware collection.
The only complaint that I have about my Swirl Casserole Dish really isn't even a major complaint and has to do with the fact that it requires so much room in a kitchen cabinet. That, of course, isn't the manufacturer's fault, but it is an issue for me because my kitchen is small and has very little storage space. I simply can't fit it in a cabinet and I use it too often to keep it down on the shelves in the basement, so it lives on one of the back burners of my stove. It isn't the best arrangement, but it works for me.
I really like my Paula Deen 3 Quart Swirl Casserole Dish and would definitely buy another one if mine broke. Recommended!
