Parent's Choice Organic Baby Formula —

My husband and I are trying to live as green and healthy a lifestyle as possible. We started our son on Similac Organic which is super expensive, even at Costco. We then started scanning for sales at other retailers and ended up buying in bulk each time Safeway had a sale on Baby O Formula. I cannot express how thrilled I was when I wandered into Walmart and discovered Parent's Choice Organic! The brand is comparable nutritionally, and I save six dollars a can compared to sale prices at Safeway, and ten dollars compared to regular retail. No scanning the ads, no clipping coupons, just great product at a great price. The DHA in the product comes from algae. Some people want to get it from fish oil, but the fish get it from the algae anyway. Neither our naturopath nor regular pediatrician had anything negative to say about our product choice. Our son is thriving and we can put the extra savings in his college fund.

I found that the Baby's Only products were much better than the President's Choice products not only for quality for also for the price! I bought mine online at www.babysonly.ca as I am in Canada and buying it directly from Nature's One was a bit expensive for the amount that I wanted to order.

Thanks so much for the information. Our little guy is ready for Stage II Formula. Any suggestions?

Do you realize how that algae is made to put in that formula? All the DHA/AHA is made from Martek Labratories. They use a toxic chemical, hexane, to extract the oils from the fermenting algae and fungis. You can read about it here. http://www.cornucopia.org/2008/01/replacing-mother-infant-formula-report/
You can also google this and find a patent and it will tell you it used the toxic chemicals to extract the DHA/AHA.
Also you need to be worried about BPA in the cans of formula as well. They are in them all, some worse than others. Look here. http://www.ewg.org/node/25572/#chart2
