I bought the Oxo Good Grips Salad Spinner recently, and I really like it! It's easy to use. All you do is push the central knob down, and the basket starts to spin. Press the brake button to stop the basket, and your lettuce is dry. The bottom does not slide, no matter how wet your kitchen counter. The spinner also easily disassembles for washing either by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher.
I chose the Oxo salad spinner over the Zyliss version, for two reasons:
1. To spin the basket, the you simply press down on the knob on the Oxo spinner , while the Zyliss version uses a pull cord. ...
review »This salad spinner beats any others I've tried. It has a push down top ...MUCH BETTER than the kind with the loop on a string that pulls out. It comes in different sizes which is nice - I haven't seen many salad spinners this size (I have smaller one- great for limited space) The top has a notch to make the center stay down for storage. Top also comes apart to clean & It has a stop button.
