Over the Hedge Review

Bruce Willis, Avril Lavigne, Wanda Sykes, and Nick Nolte are just a few of the voices in Over the Hedge.

Plot: RJ the raccoon has stolen a bear food but losses it.  Now he has one week to get it all back.  Meanwhile, the furry critters of the forest wake up from the end of winter to find a giant green thing (hedge) has taken over their habitat.  Now everyone must learn to survive, share, trust and help each other out to survive.

What I thought:  Anyone will enjoy this film.  Over the Hedge is a handy learning tool for kids to learn basic rules like sharing and truthfulness, all while having fun.  Or you can just watch it as a fun film to laugh to.  Hammie, the squirrel on a constant high (and probably ADHD) cracks me up with his actions and the lines he has.  I find myself saying "But I like the cookie" way too many times!  Over the Hedge has great color (stimulating for the littler toddlers), fun music (all by Ben Folds Five) and fun loving characters.  Beware of the exterminator character for younger children.  Anyone with an inner child will love Over the Hedge.
