nice'n CLEAN Electronic Cleaning Wipes —

                                A couple of months ago we purchased an HD tv. We knew we needed something special to clean the screen with. We looked around in the electronics department of Walmart and found "nice'n Clean Electronic Cleaning Wipes". We read the package and found it can also be used on the computor. Although we had never heard of the brand before we thought we'd try it anyway. (After being nudged a bit by the salesperson.)

                               When we got home we tried it on the computor. It worked well except for 2 small streaks. Wiped it again and it was fine. There was no residue left behind on the keyboard or anywhere else.

                              There was an odor that reminded me of some household wipes. I washed my hands with orange scented bacterial dishwashing liquid and used some lotion. Oila! No more odor.

                               Since then we've used it on both tv, computor, printer and telephone successfully.  I noticed Kevin gets more streaks than I do.  : }    I think  I have a gentler touch. I also don't wipe back and forth in the same area.

                               There are 80 antistatic  "nice'n Clean Electronic Cleaning Wipes"  in a recycable plastic container.  Since they do not contain any alcohol they are supposed to be safe for most electronic surfaces. The label also claims to leave no residue, reduce dust and fog build - up, and surfaces stay clean longer.

                                For the most part, I agree. There is an occasional little bit of streaking on the tv screen or computor monitor and the dust doesn't stay off as long as I like. I would like it better if this was a natural product. Also I am concerned about part of the computor surface. When Kevin uses it, he doesn't always wash the chemical off his hands. The uses the computor. Part of the mouse area and other small part of computor surface appears staines or starting to wear off. He claims it's from the oils from MY skin. I don't think so! I have sensitive skin which means it tends to be dry and I never touch the computor if I recently used lotion. I suspect it's the chemical residue on his fingertips combined with friction   that is affecting the computor surface.

                                 Soooo, people, just follow the package directions, wash your hands after cleaning with thus product and there should be no irritation to your skin, your computor, (or each other)!      : }

                                 You can find them in Walmart for approximately $5.95.

                                 Although they basically do a good job they should lower the price or include more wipes. That's another reason I didn't give it 5 stars. However I am glad we tried this product.

I know what you mean. I'll have more time this week to browse through more products and pick something different to try. Have a good night.

No I have not had a chance to get any yet. I have not had much time to shop, just enough time to run in and get the necesseties and run out. I will try them eventually though.

Did you try them yet? How did your skin and computor finish react? I'm about to pick up a different product. Sorry I didn't answer sooner.

For anyone not sure about this product, there is a smaller package of 24 individually-wrapped towelettes selling for $1.97 at Wal-Mart.

Your welcome. You are with mindywol? Cool. Hi, mindywol! Is she visiting or you are talking to her via internet/live? That didn't come out quite right. I'm curious about what Pedro will say. It's not a bad product. But directions should be followed and a gentle touch is always better. Thanks.

GigiandAdonai wrote on Oct 20, 2008 at 10:45PM

Thanks for the review. I am with mindyvol--I typically dry dust my screens because I have a fear of messing them up. But I will get with my brother-in-law, Pedro, and ask him what he thinks. He's a professional computer technician and troubleshooter so he might know. If he gives me any other ideas I will pass them on to you.

They work pretty good. When you dry dust it just settles back down because of the static electricity. As long as you don't scrub hard you'll be fine. : )

mindyvol wrote on Oct 3, 2008 at 8:44PM

I need to get something like this. I hate to admit it but I don't clean my tv and computer screens as much as I should because I'm afraid that I'll damage them. I usually just dry dust them.
