It kind of does, but not in a bad way. I am a big fan of Method products so I decided to experiment with this one as well. The minty, deep blue cleaner comes in a recyclable 28-ounce spray bottle. That's nice, but it is more important to me that it works to clean my windows thoroughly without leaving streaks or residue.
The product contains natural ingredients, including corn alcohol, naturally derived surfactant, biodegradable solvent, and a blend of fragrance oils.
I began my experiment with the patio doors. My grandson always seems drawn to the glass whenever he's visiting, and he's usually left his little fingerprints all over it as sort of a calling card. In addition, my cat likes to rub her paws (and face, and body) against the glass whenever she's looking at the birds in the backyard. And of course, there is the constant back and forth when my hubby goes out to the patio for his frequent grilling. For those reasons, the glass gets smeary and it needs frequent cleaning.
I tried out the Window Wash and it was absolutely as effective as the product claims. The scent could be toned down a little bit, but it wasn't at all overpowering. The glass and the mirrors simply sparkled after I wiped them down and as promised, all of the surfaces dried with no streaks.
Overall, Method Window Wash is an effective product and performs well. It works as well as Windex with vinegar, but I choose to use it over Windex because of it's non-toxic properties and the company's commitment to green cleaning
