Great Light Duty Scrub

4

I am definitely a fan of Method's environmentally and people friendly cleaners so when I discovered that they had the Le Scrub Cleaner I was thrilled to give my Soft Scrub the boot. My tub never gets especially dirty but the edges always seem to get a residue of soap scum so I need something a bit heavier duty than the usual cleaner. This scrub does an admirable job with scrubbing gently but effectively. The scent is pleasant, although I do use it with the bathroom fan on. It's certainly not eye watering like some bathroom scrubs. I also used to have to use my bathroom scrub while wearing those big dishwashing gloves but this is gentle enough to use with bare hands and doesn't leave them bright red and you feeling like you just stuck your hands in a vat of acid. Overall I was quite pleased with my purchase. This is certainly ideal for light duty scrubbing in the bathroom or kitchen.

Powerhouse cleaner that is gentle on your skin & senses

I will start by saying I haven't met a Method product that I haven't liked or enjoyed using yet. This stuff works great, smells great and is in a fun shaped bottle that holds a sponge on the top. I feel safe using this around my family which includes not only my husband, but my kiddo and my pets. This is good stuff! Performance I use this to scrub my kitchen and laundry room sinks out after doing dishes and such. It leaves my sink nice and shiny and clean. When my husband washes out paint brushes or other things from doing projects around the house, I am able to use this to scrub out my laundry room (stainless steel) sink and it works fabulously. Everything comes off and it looks like new again! I have also used it to scrub out parts of my shower and it works very well for that also. Scent This has a very nice minty scent that is not too strong or overpowering like a lot of other cleaners. You don't have to open a window in your bathroom or kitchen to be able to breathe when you are cleaning with this stuff.

Awesome Natural Cleaner with a Great Scent

5

I received this cleaner as a gift when I was pregnant, which was the perfect present for a pregnant woman. I felt safe using it while carrying my baby and didn't have to worry about nasty fumes harming me or the little one. Even better, Le Scrub works great as a bathroom cleaner. I used it as a general purpose bathroom cleaner, since it was the only natural cleaner I had, and it seemed to be effective on everything. Performance LeScrub has small abrasive particles that, combined with your sponge, work to clean off dirt and grime. I found that the gentle abrasiveness worked very well for porcelain bathroom fixtures without any scratching. It also proved to be an effective cleaner for the tile floor and worked well to clean the grout, which was particularly tough as it had not been sealed. The only thing I didn't like about the cleaner is that it is not super easy to rinse off. You have to be very intentional about rinsing or your fixtures will have a film on them. Scent Nice, refreshing scent that leaves your bathroom smelling clean rather than like chemicals.

Le Scrub worked wonders in my showers

4

I'm glad I bought the product before I saw some of these reviews. I bought it last night, and when used in conjunction with a Scott scrubber on a stick thing it worked wonders in the tub/showers. It removed soap scum effectively and the tiles look nearly new. I also used it on the shower door, and while it didn't clean it completely, it was much easier to use and I think did a better job for the amount of effort exerted. I used a damp towel to wipe down the shower walls after scrubbing and rinsing to make sure I wasn't left with the white grit. It does take a bit of work, but I can't imagine it takes anymore than any other cleaner. Certainly my shower isn't going to clean itself.

Good natural cleaner, even if you do need to scrub a bit!

Method's Le Scrub is a "planet friendly gently abrasive cleaner" that has worked great for me in cleaning my showers and sinks.  The eucalyptus mint smell is very pleasant (so much nicer than so many traditional cleaners' "chemical" smell).  It is a strange looking bottle (the split top is supposed to be able to hold a sponge) and the consistency of the cleaner is more of a paste, which makes it a little harder to apply to my shower walls (spray-on cleaners are certainly a bit easier), but it does the job in cleaning off soap scum and leaving everything clean and nicely-smelling.  The bottle says that the abrasiveness is "powered by finely milled marble" and lists all the ingredients, which they boast are "non-toxic, naturally-derived, and biodegradable".  I honestly thought it to be a good, effective product.  Yes, it's expensive.  Yes, you have to use some elbow grease to get tough stains out, but I have to do that with whatever cleaner I use because of our hard water.  But at least using le scrub makes me feel a little better that I'm not exposing myself or my family to harmful chemicals.

Love the fresh scent of the method Le scrub

The Method Le Scrub Gently Abrasive Cleaner does a pretty good job of cleaning the bathroom with a great smell. I have found using it on the tub works well and the best part is no yucky chemical smell

Good non-toxic product

I like the method Le Scrub Gently Abrasive Cleaner for my bathtub. However, I recently switched to baking soda and vinegar as my only source of household cleaner so I won't be replacing it. I like how the method cleaner cleans the bathtub. We have extremely hard water and it tends to build up terribly in the tub. It definitely takes some elbow grease along with the scrub, but generally does a satisfactory job. I like the fact that method Gentle Abrasive Cleaner is non-toxic and doesn't have an awful chemical smell to it. The price is a little steep, especially compared with others on the market. If you can snag a coupon and use it during a sale you get it for a decent price. If you are in the market for something safe to use around your kids this is a good way to go. I would, however, encourage you to go a step further and look into using baking soda in place of this scrub; it is phenomenal.

Disappointing Eco Friendly Method Cleaner

1

Method Le Scrub Gently Abrasive Cleaner was one of a couple Method products I purchased for the first time.  It was by far a disappointment.  I have been trying to become better about using environmentally friendly products, which was why I purchased this cleaner and other Method products.   I have used this in my bathroom on my bath tub, toilet and sink area.  I found I really had to scrub and still it did not seem to help.   It came with a scrub sponge, but that was a joke.  After I rinsed off the cleaner,  a white film still remained.  To top it off, it was much too expensive for its lack of effectiveness.     Unfortunately, this was the first and last time I would use any Method product.  This product and the others I purchased at the same time were not enough to make me want to buy any others.  I would not recommend these to anyone. From now on, I am going to spend a couple bucks on some lemon, baking soda and vinegar.

Not my favorite Method product

This is the first Method product that has let me down. It's not a BAD product necessarily, it just didn't blow me away. It works mostly okay cleaning the tub, but it requires a ton of elbow grease. Unfortunately, if it not rinsed off very well or if you miss rinsing a spot, it dries into a white residue in the tub. I didn't try this in the sink, but I bet it really would be more ideal for a smaller surface like that where you won't break your back scrubbing and you can be sure to rinse all of it away. I think I'm going to try to make my own tub cleaner from non-toxic household products and see how that works. If I can make a cleaner myself then I won't repurchase this one. If I can't make a good cleaner myself and it comes down to this product and a less environmentally-friendly product, I'll choose the Method Le Scrub again and just deal with it. It does smell really nice and it's enjoyable to use while cleaning, I just wish it packed a little more "oomph."

An average cleaner that's better for the Earth.

Method Gentle Abrasive Cleaner is an average cleaning product. I find that it cleans best when paired with either an old rag or a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It does especially well in the stainless steel kitchen sink and to remove toothpaste from the bathroom sink. I find that it also does well as an "all purpose" kind of cleaner (it's great for removing dirt from flip flops!) and use it often. When I tried to use it with a regular sponge, it was less useful and I was disappointed with it. Now, it works well to remove spots from my bathtub that has lost its enamel-- what a chore! I am very happy with it's environmentally friendly qualities and do not panic when it gets on my skin like I do with other products. I would definitely consider purchasing it again.
