As I love to try new makeup, and their logo is "meet mark" I figured I would give it a go next time I ordered from Avon.

Choosing the two basic shades to start off with, Java, a nice medium / dark chocolatey brown, and Jet, a deep yet soft gray. I tried them on the back of my hand first and was struck by how smooth they went on. Each shade is perfectly pigmented, not wishy washy. I generally apply my pencils after I apply lid color as it helps it to last longer, with these I don't have to do that because they go on so nicely and blend out perfectly if you want them to, or you can leave a more dramatic line sans the blending.

I also find that these pencils can be applied to the water line (or inside rim of the eye) without making them feel irritated or get teary. The fact that mark's Eyemarker liner pencil is self-sharpening is great, no need to waste time or your pencil to keep a good point.

Liking these so much I purchased the Enchanted Forest, a muted deep green,  Lapis, a jewel-like blue; and my least fave Wine, a plummish brown which I did not like at all, it just looked too red around my eyes.

All shades apply with ease and blend beautifully without leaving greasy clumps of pencil here and there if you know what I mean. They last all day and remove easily with facial cleanser or makeup remover. I'm quite impressed with these pencils, they've become a must-have item in my makeup stash.

These sell for $ 5.50 each but last a long time; they can be found on sale on occasion but not as often as other Avon eye pencils such as Glimmersticks or Ultra Luxury liners.

An added note, I find that Enchanted Forest works perfectly to enhance my hazel eye color, I often use it on the upper lash line with the Java on the bottom lash line, sounds odd but it works!
