love this mark lotion!! does what it says

Comments about mark Matte Chance Mattifying Lotion:

i love mark products, they're so great! i got this as a sample from my friends avon and mark kit when they started selling the products and i was so suprised at how well it worked! it kept my oily t-zone matte all day, which suprised me! i used it one day while i was going to disneyland, which is always bad for your skin, amusement parks always are bad youre sweaty its dirty lol, anyway i used it hoping i wouldnt have to use blotting paper and power all day and it did the trick! my skin is very oily so by the end of the day i was a little shiny, but nothing like it normally is. amazing, it's a little pricey at 16 bucks, but worth it! they have deals at avon a lot too, so i try to buy then. this lotion also smells great! who new, all natural and it works, a major plus for me! it also has helped with breakouts since it keeps oil a bay, but also mosturises! its great since dry skin can actually cause more breakouts since skin will produce more oil to compensate. so great buy!

Say Bye-Bye to Shine

By

from Crescent, PA

Comments about mark Matte Chance Mattifying Lotion:

From the Avon Website: "If you want it all-skin that's moisturized but totally shine-free then try this light, oil-free moisturizer that says bye-bye to shine with a super blend of oil absorbers to help create an up-close-and-perfect finish. Plus, a dose of **sugar cane**-a natural alpha-hydroxy-keeps skin fresh and glowing. 1.7 fl. oz.  oil-free non-comedogenic fragrance-free"

I have never purchased Avon products before, but I would always look at the catalog because everyone at work sells it. I saw the Mark line of products and decided to give it a try. I mean, Reese Witherspoon uses Avon products so it has to be good, right?!

I used the Matte Chance lotion in combination with the Purifying Cleanser, Shine Fighter Mask, and Berry Grand scrub. If only use one brand of product, the entire line. I'm a believer in that, I don't know why.

Anyway, it took me a minute to figure out how the heck to get the product out. The top part of the jar pushes down to reveal the opening. I had to pump it up and down a few times to get the product started, then I just wiped off the product from the top with my fingers. I applied it to my face and it absorbed super quick. There was no greasy feeling, but my face still felt tight after using it.

It's supposed to keep shine and oil at bay but those kinds of products never work for me. I figured by lunchtime I would look in the mirror and be grease central. But, that was not the case!!

I remember very vividly looking in the mirror before I went to lunch and thinking to myself "huh, not bad!" My face did not look shiny or greasy AT ALL. I was amazed, to say the least.

I gave this 4 stars because of the top/dispenser. I just don't like it. I gave it 4 stars because to me it was not that moisturizing.I also gave this 4 stars because I returned the product to my Avon lady. My skin had a reaction to the cleanser and/or the shine fighter mask and since I am a believer that all products worked together, I figured it was just a matter of time before my skin didn't like this either.

So to be fair, this review is based on only 1 day of use. But for that one day, my face was not an oil slick. I really wish I could have continued to use the product and part of me regrets taking it back.

Ingredients (from the website): WATER/EAU, SD ALCOHOL 40-B, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, SILICA, GLYCERIN, BORON NITRIDE, POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE DIMETHICONE, PYRUS MALUS (APPLE) FRUIT EXTRACT, HAMAMELIS VIRGINIANA (WITCH HAZEL) EXTRACT, CUCURBITA PEPO (PUMPKIN) SEED EXTRACT, VANILLA PLANIFOLIA FRUIT EXTRACT, RUBUS IDAEUS (RASPBERRY) FRUIT EXTRACT, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED EXTRACT, SACCHARUM OFFICINARUM (SUGAR CANE) EXTRACT, RUBUS FRUTICOSUS (BLACKBERRY) FRUIT EXTRACT, VITIS VINIFERA (GRAPE) FRUIT EXTRACT POLYACRYLAMIDE, C13-14 ISOPARAFFIN, LAURETH-7, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, SODIUM C8-16 ISOALKYLSUCCINYL LACTOGLOBULIN SULFONATE

Overall, I say give this a shot if you have oil skin, and the other products do not bother you. At 16.00, this is not cheap to just keep sitting around but Avon has a pretty good return policy!!
