The Magic Jack telephone service and ofcourse the jack is absolutely the best telephone service I have ever had for my money.  It's amazingly cheap and the quality of this device is astonishing considering you only pay 20 a year give or take.  You do need an internet connection and ofcourse if you lose your internet you lose your phone until it's up and running again.  Since most people have a cell phone, this phone makes the most sense for your home phone, unless ofcourse you're not worried about the money you spend on your home phone.  Oh yea, most important fact I forgot to mention!  There's...

Wonderful... I would advise anyone to purchase and use. It is so easy to setup that it took me approximately 5 minutes before I was able to start making calls. It has features just like a regular landline telephone company. You have caller ID, call waiting, voicemail and can use computer microphone/speakers or a regular/cordless telephone. I love the fact that you don't have to pay a monthly telephone bill. I purchased mine at Wal-mart and was calling my best friend in South Carolina from Kentucky that night.

I would recommend this product to anyone with a high speed computer. It is terrific....

Because I was tired of the astronomical rates charged by that national known "B.O.G.P.C.",  I purchased the advertised 'MagicJack' phone system in August 2009. I am reviewing the Magic Jack, this product is absolutley wonderful. It's small compact and super affordable for those who already have high speed internet and need a home telephone. There is no need for an install CD, as the Magic Jack automatically downloads it's own software from the internet and updates itself, so it's trouble free. I have been using Magic Jack for over a year. Magic jack is really a magic, it will help you save all the monthly bills that you probably pay like more or less 50 dollars a month. But with this magic jack you just buy it for 39.95 dollars and pay each year for 20 dollars and you will be free of your monthly bills already its like saving hundreds of dollars a year having this kind of service. I saw Magic Jack on an infomercail one late night.  I thought that there's no way that I can hook up this little piece of equipment to my computer and be able to call long distance with the same sound quality as I was already getting.  However, I needed to lower my telephone bill and so I ordered one.  It was easy to install.  Nothing to it and I made my first call.  It was fabulous.  The sound was great and I've never had any problems with it since day one.  $39.95 initially which includes the equipment and then $19.95 PER YEAR.......noit per month but PER YEAR for unlimited long distance...

I love the Magic Jack. As long as you have a computer, and an internet plan, you can use the Magic Jack. Once you buy it, it only costs you $20.00 a YEAR to have phone service!!! That is ALL long distance, unlimited minutes, etc. Who doesn't want a phone plan that is so inexpensive and easy to use? I highly recommend it to anyone, and especially to those who are travelling in RV's, etc. You can take your phone and phone # with you anywhere you go!

i got magic jack for like twenty bucks or something but it sucks.  i generally have to restart the magic jack before every use and i am so sick of doing this that i just do not even try anymore.  before the magic jack i had a land line for local calls but when i heard about magic jack i cancled my phone line for the magic jack.  that was probably the best thing about the magic jack- it got me to cancle a useless phone service.  now i just use my cell phone for everything and i do not have to worry about having multiple phone lines or phone bills.  in any case the magic jack is also unsafe...
