I bought this heater refurbished to replace an old, steam home heating system. So far, I have no complaints. Heater comes with a remote for convenience (takes AAA batteries, not included). The heater is compact, easy to move, and has user-friendly features. I also love wooden housing. Not only does it look great, but it also makes the heater safer to touch than a radiator or a metal-housed unit. The heater takes a minute to heat up, and then will blow hot air outwards - like an air conditioner, but for opposite use. This lets a room heat up faster than a traditional radiator or steam heater. And with the remote control, it makes waking up on a frigid morning so much easier. Temperature settings are accurate, and will heat a good-sized bathroom without taking up too much energy. Also has a timer, which is useful for using before bed or before heading out of the house. No complaints so far, easy to use, and super convenient.

My parents purchased the Lifesmart Infrared Quartz heater for their T.V. room. It is very stylish looking and blends well into any living space. It provides a nice warm heat to keep their T.V. room nice in warm, where as before it was drafty and cold. It was very nice, on those cold winter days to sit in the T.V. room and not be bundled up in blankets and still be nice in warm. The heater is very easy to use, basically just plug it in and set it to the temperature you desire and the the heater does the rest. The heater kicks off automatically once the desired temperature is reached. The fan attached to the heater runs very quietly and the outside cabinet stays cool to the touch. All in all I would say that this is a very nice heater and that it gets the job done.

This little heater does its job! It puts out ample heat quickly, does not get hot to the touch & the housing makes it blend in a little better with our decor. It is a lot easier on our power bill than the other electric heater that we were using. It cost more, but will pay off in what we will save on our power bill! Ours also came with a remote control which is nice.

I purchased this heater for my husband as a Christmas gift. He wanted it for our sun room. He spends a lot of time in this room when he is not working. This room is always five to ten degrees cooler or warmer (depending on the time of the year) than the rest of the house. It has to do with all of windows in the room. This heater is very easy to operate with the remote control. You first have to turn it on with the button located on the back of the unit. Then you just touch the "On" button on the remote control, and then you set it to the desired temperature. It heats up our room very quickly which is fairly large - 16 feet by 20 feet, and we have not really noticed much difference in our electric bill since purchasing it. It has made a big difference in the comfort of our sun room. We love this heater! It sure can put out the heat!

I bought two of these heaters to help keep the rooms I spend the most time in warmer without having to adjust he thermostat. Lifesmart seemed like a good brand name and I was super excited. Unfortunately, I wish I hadn't wasted my money on these. The first annoyance is that I can't turn my tv on with this on without blowing the circuit. I have a newer house. The living room is all on 1 circuit and it overloads it. It is quite ridiculous. Next annoyance is that it is on the same frequency as my remote. Every time I turn the volume on my tv down, the temp on the heater goes up. Now for the real complaint. This heats up the space about 1 foot in front of it. My kitchen and living room are open. Keeping this in my living room, I can't feel the heat 5 ft away. I had to bring he other one down and put it in the kitchen to try to heat the living room. It helps but now I have 2 blowing. Overall, I would not buy these again.

Just got this for Christmas. Just in time for a really cold season in the Northeast. Set the temperature and forget it. It really keeps the chill off in our three season sunroom. It allows us to use the room during the winter. It jeeps my young daughter warm while playing. And bonus, t is really safe for her to be around. Performance No issues, we plugged it in and it just works. Ease of Use Very easy to use on the unit controls and a remote which is as easy to use. Durability Wooden case, very durable. I use a coaster and set my drink on it when I am reading in the room. On casters but they are quality wheels and are holding up well. Design Modern look. Really doesn't look like a heater, more like a piece of furniture. Safety Only one area that gets hot and it is recessed and easy to keep small hands away from.

This heater is just wonderful for a mid sized room. It heats quickly and efficiently for just pennies Performance This heater performs very well. Automatic shut off and heats to just the right temperature you select. Ease of Use So easy to use. You just select the temperature you want and press the on button. The heater will shut off when it has reached the temperature and turn back on when it has reached dipped below that number. Durability Very durable Design Design fits in with most decor. I have a black one with black grating. Safety I like that at no time does the outside unit become even warm, no matter how long you let it run.

We purchased three of the lifesmart space heaters in 2011. We have about a 2300 square foot home. The home is a modular and since we are all electric, we were having problems with having even heat throughout the home, especially on the opposite ends of the home in the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms. We purchased our first heater in August 2011 because we were told about the potential savings the infrared heaters would provide us. We started using the first heater in our bedroom to take the chill off of the room. The heater worked and so we eventually purchased two more Lifesmart heaters for the other two bedrooms. Although we have three heaters now, we can only run two of them at the same time because of the watts that they draw. I flipped a few breakers in the beginning trying to run them all at the same time. I have noticed that on at least one of my heaters that when I set the temperature on 72 degrees, it somehow climbs to around 80 degrees and never does shut off at the right temp. I have compensated for this by turning the heat down on this one particular Lifesmart space heater. Overall, I'm pleased with the savings, the cost of the heater, and the quality. Performance Lifesmart Infrared heaters put out a lot of heat in a little bit of time. I've had my heaters since 2011 and they are going strong. Safety These Lifesmart heaters are cool to the touch and no danger to young children.

I am only giving this a 4 although a 5 may be what it needs. I bought this a couple years ago for the basement, but it didn't really make a difference but its a big open space, fast forward to this winter and I decided to try it in the living room, awesome there. I plug it in, in the morning and the furnace doesn't run at all during the day, we live in Wisconsin so anyone should know its COLD this last week it was below zero a lot and still it keeps the living room at around 74, the upstairs gets down to about 65 but we are not up there during the day so its fine. The kitchen gets a little chilly but I bake a lot and that warms it up, and even with the furnace running the kitchen is chilly so I cant subtract for that. The poor heater has taken a little bit of a beating also my oldest was skateboarding in the basement and hit it twice, the plastic on the front is cracked but it works great. I also have a 8 month old and its safe for her without being hot and burning little fingers, she finds it funny to sit by it and let it blow her hair. Performance Works great in smaller areas keeping it very warm Ease of Use There is not much to say, plug it in turn it to the temp you want and it does its job. Durability Even with 4 kids around it and one hitting it with a skateboard it works perfect. Design Its a cube! Safety I love that my 8 month old can be right next to it, she even leans on it sometimes and its not hot.
