la Famiglia is the best Italian restaurant.  The food is fresh and made to your liking.  Nothing is made in a pre-made or frozen then cooked fashion.  They will cook to order.  I have never had a bad meal there or a meal that is less then meeting my high expectations.  The desserts are lucious.  Something as simple as ice cream is above expectation.  My personal favorite is the 'almond tirimasu' - simply the food of royalty.

la Famiglia is a 'bring your own' restaurant.  The staff is more then happy to accomodate your needs in respect to the wine you may bring.  The staff is always pleasant and will provide for your every culinary need.  I have not yet met with an unpleasant server.

la Famiglia also has room for a private party of which I have had many there.  Again, each function went forth without a care and I received many compliments of my choice for venue.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a first date, a simple dinner out or dinner with the family.  Bring your friends (esp. those from out of town), you will delight them with that special Italian dinner and delicacies that are expected here in this Greater New York area.  Mangia!
