The iPhone 3G is not one bit overrated. The best cell I have ever had, it can do anything. It is also very easy to use. Learning how to use my old Motorola was much more difficult than navigating the iPhone. The apps are amazing and tons are free- I have not paid for one yet and do not plan to. So many free books, games, and other information is free there's no need to pay for any. Navigator, voice recorder weather and more all come free on the phone. It is also much more durable than it looks. If you are looking for a phone for just making calls and/or text messaging, paying an extra &17.00 a month for the data plan (comes standard with the iphone, you cannot get out of paying for it) is a waste. For students or professionals who needs access to their email and/or the interest at all times, this phone is essential. The ONLY drawback is that is goes through alot of battery-which makes sense since you will be on it playing with all the fun goodies for a long periods of time.
