I was so excited to get this running stroller. I was rather shocked to see how cheap it was, compared to the other running strollers. I really didn't expect such a nicely built product! I had done my research on many others. For the price, this is an exceptional product. It's not really lightweight to lift in and out of a vehicle, since I have to travel to where I actually use it. It does fold up very easily! It has 2 locking brakes for the rear tires. I had to learn the hard way to make sure you have the brakes locked all the way down. I thought I locked the brakes and when I went to put my son in the stroller, the stroller was rolling half way down the road. I got so freaked out about it, that it took me two more weeks to get the nerve to try it out again. There is some minor assembly required. It uses actual bike tires, that do need to be pumped up prior to use. The hand brake has to be adjusted before you use it; it's just like a bike brake. . The stroller moves so smoothly over pavement, that my little guy was asleep approximately 1/4 way through my walk. I think it has independent suspension on the tires, because the stroller doesn't bounce at all and I walk/run on bumpy paved road. It's very smooth and easy to push; not at all like a normal stroller. The handle is padded and feels good to grip. It takes some getting used to running with, if you've never run with one before. I'm just started out and it's an adjustment for me, but it moves so smoothly. I love it!

We enjoy the jogger. I do wish it had a swivel wheel making it easier to turn since I am not actually an avid jogger. It's worked well for both of my boys. It's roomy enough for my 3 1/2 yr old who is very tall and still fits my 1 yr old. The storage holder underneath is spacious, but my large diaper bag does take up quite a bit of the room.

inStep Stroller: Great for Walking or Jogging

By

from USA

Comments about inStep 2008 Ultra Runner Jogging Stroller:

A friend of ours gave us our inStep Ultra Runner Jogging Stroller, and at the time, I had no idea how nice of a stroller they had given to us. Once we took it out for a spin though, I realized what a great jogging stroller it was.

Although I have dreams of jogging, I have to honestly say that I am usually walking with an occasional sprint. This stroller handles both very easily, even when we go over bumps, off the beaten path or in the grass on the side of the road to let a car pass. My husband is a runner and has taken our inStep Stroller out for jogs, and reports that it does very well at those speeds that are faster than I dare to attempt!

The inStep is pretty easy to maneuver, for a jogging stroller. It doesn't turn on a dime like four wheel strollers because it isn't one.

The stroller is very comfortable for children to sit in. Since it reclines, I often find them passed out after enjoying the ride for a while. My kiddos absolutely love to ride in this stroller.

Best jog stroller

I love how this has independent shocks so the child has a smooth rid, it was easy to put together, it's easy to take down, it's super easy to push and my child seems very comfortable in it. She never fusses. I wish it would come with the rain cover and bug net instead of having to buy them separately.

InStep jogging stroller rolls along well

By

from Houston, TX

Comments about inStep 2008 Ultra Runner Jogging Stroller:

We have had the In Step jogging stroller for about two years. It has worked very well for us. It runs very smoothly. The front wheel does not turn, you must pick it up slightly to turn the stroller. It is a slight inconvenience, but it is easy to get used to. The non-truning wheel is best forstability for jogging strolelrs. The back reclines pretty far. I would not use it with a newborn, but it reclines well enough that you can use it with a little older infant who cannot sit up yet. There is a spot at the top for a drink and a covered spot that is perfect for keys and a cell phone. There is a brake so you can stop the stroller quickly. There is not a lot of storage. If you use it for a regular stroller, you might want more storage. Just using it for jogging, the storage would be adequate. The front wheel has a quick release on it, which makes it easy to remove that front wheel so you can fit the stroller in your car if you don't jog from your home.

Smooth ride for my little one!

Comments about inStep 2008 Ultra Runner Jogging Stroller:

When I found out I was pregnant I set out to get the best jogging stroller that I could afford.  I wanted a durable stroller not necessarily one that I would  need for jogging.  I purchased an Instep Jogging stroller to go with a different infant car seat but it was easy to use the adapter to be able to but the seat on top when I was out and about.  Although this stroller is very large it is easy to get out of the car and get open.  It is definately a smooth ride.  I have not used it for jogging but just for walking and for errands.  My son seems very comfortable in it and I have been stopped in the store for people to look at it.  I love the two cup holders on the top for our drinks and the compartment that can be used for cell phone, keys or even a mp3 player.  It does have a large basket in the bottom which is convienent for when I am shopping for a few things at the store.  I would definately recommend this stroller to anyone.

Best stroller

My husband and I  love to  hike, bike and also go to historic places like Williamsburg, or National battlefields.  We love being outside and spend every free moment out there when looking for strollers before my son was born I was determined that I did not want a traditional stroller I knew they just wouldn't work for our life style.  I knew I wanted  a stroller that would be able to go any where and that would be comfortable for my son.  My husband actually laughed at me more than once abpout being so picky but after we bought our stroller my husband was driving past a fair ground and he noticed a couple trying to push a stroller through a graveled parking lot and struggling to the  point they ended up picking ther stroller up with the baby in it to get to a flat surface after that he called me and thanked me for being so stubborn with the type if stroller we got my son loves it and we have never had problems getting around

I trained for a marathon using my stroller. I loved it! It was comfortable for my child. The only thing I did not like was no swivel wheel in the front. Other than that it folded down nicely and was easy to push.

The InStep Jogger is better than sliced bread!!!

By

from Inman, SC

Comments about inStep 2008 Ultra Runner Jogging Stroller:

I would just like to say that the InStep Jogger is the best thing since sliced bread.  When I first recieved the InStep Jogger as a baby shower gift, I was kind of angry.  I thought to myself that someone was calling me fat and saying that I needed to lose weight after having my handsome bundle of joy, but am I ever so glad now that I was given the InStep Jogger.  I could not imagine my everyday life without it.  To use for a example, I took my son to an outdoor carinival where there are things plugged up every where and there was gravel and drop cords running every which way.  Well I can remember going to those things with my other children and getting so mad with those umbrella strollers because the wheels would always get hung up on one thing and then another.  Well just let me tell you, not my InStep Jogger, it took the terrain like a pro!!  I was so happy that even I enjoyed the fair. on a scale of one to ten I would rate the Instep Jogger a 12!!

would recommend to all runners

By

Comments about inStep 2008 Ultra Runner Jogging Stroller:

I would recommend this stroller to all runners who are looking for the ease and  convenience of get up and go with out the difficulty of taking time to open and put together. Very lightweight and smooth ride. There is also a good distance between you feet and stroller enabling you to take a normal jogging stride. All in all this is a great product.
