Wolfenstein was released on August 18th 2009, this is a brand new Wolfenstein which also brings a brand new style of the game itself.
Not only are the graphics really good, but the gameplay and requirements are pretty good also.
In this Wolfenstein, it's not only about killing the nazi's, but it's about finding these crystals and get them before the Nazi's misuse them.
The crystals have hidden powers which you will use to tackle different obstacles in the game, which kind of remind me of Tomb Raider in a way.
You're also capable of finding hidden money bags and Intelligence to help you upgrade your weapons and make you an even more deadly opponent verse the Nazi's.
You get sent on various missions which are very easy to navigate, one you have a map to use and the other you have a gold star on your compus to follow. So finding your way around the game is very easy and a no-brainer.
Some people didn't like the game cause it wasn't like the old style Wolfenstein, like Return to Castle Wolfenstein and even the old one for the Sega Genesis way back when I was a kid
Controls: are very well put together, it's controls are set up just like Quake, Doom, and any other game made by ID Software, and I am a very big ID Software fan! So the controls are very familiar and easy to work out.
Graphics / Requirements:
OS: Windows XP/ Windows Vista
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3400+
RAM: 1GB RAM
Video: 256MB NVIDIA Geforce 6800 GT or ATI Radeon X800
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
HDD: 8GB (Plus an additional 800MB for Windows swap file)
100% Microsoft Windows compatible DVD-ROM drive
Internet Broadband connection for multiplayer
Difficulty: This has different settings, the highest setting removes the crosshair from the middle of the screen so you have to rely on your "zoom" to aim, brings a better way of playing the game and makes it more challenging for someone like me who's played FPS games since the dawn of their time. Love it!!
Parental Warning: It's basically just animated violence, you can shoot off limbs and their head once you upgrade your sniper rifle, but the violence like I said is just what it is. That is up to the parent to decide. I'd say about 14+ would be a good age range for this kind of game.
Gameplay: I still haven't beaten the game yet and I've been playing it for a while off and on, not constantly though, I don't have the time to play often, so the game is pretty long and you'll get good hours out of this game, plus it's also Multiplayer IF you purchased the game.
All in all, I give this game a 5/5, i loved it, and even after I beat it, I will probably start over and do it again! Screenshots and photo's will come when I get time to upload them. Until then, head on over to www.google.com and google up screenshots for "Wolfenstein 2009"
