As a professional I will say The Apple iTunes Store is indeed a very good option that will satisfy even the most ravenous of digital music needs.

I have a IPad so I have definitely had to use itunes. I kept it on my laptop until the screen broke on my laptop. ITunes has a couple of uses. You can manage your applications and subscriptions and make purchases all from you computer for your apple devices. But it took me a minute to realize you need it if your kids disable your IPad or Iphone. I keep a password on my IPad because I keep a lot of personal information one my IPad and IPhone and my kids kept typing in the wrong password until it disabled my ipad. I had to download ITunes for the first time. And luckily it's pretty simple to reset your apple devices with ITunes and a laptop, just hook your apple device to your computer and type in your information and ITunes takes care of the rest for you. The downfall about ITunes is it took forever to download for the first time. It also lagged my computer horribly, and the last downfall is if you have to reset a device it'll take hours. Other than that ITunes is wonderful. It runs great on apple devices with no lagging and transitions smoothly on apple devices.

Fun Music Program

5

I have used iTunes for several years. It is a quality program for listening to music, and they have good ways of categorizing music by album, artist, etc. I also use it for watching videos, although not every video format does well in it (I have found that VLC does better as a universal video player). iTunes also does a good job of backing up an iPhone in a quick and easy way. But the program also does have some flaws. For one, they are constantly upgrading to a new version, but the default setting for the new versions keep changing. Once you get used to where things are, it changes to a new version, things are moved and hard to find. The default settings for syncing an iPhone is also irritating at times. Sometimes it automatically saves any app that has been downloaded to a phone, and then if you plug your phone into the computer (even to charge it), it automatically starts adding apps back onto your phone that have been deleted from the phone but saved to the computer (I say sometimes because this happens with some versions of iTunes, but not every one). One other thing that can be irritating is trying to put some music from off of your computer onto your phone without putting all of it on.

Not as great as people say it is.

iTunes has had a lot of issues lately. Downloads can be extremely slow, it's really difficult to find the song, video, ringtone, etc. that you might be looking for compared to other music and media buying options, and the support system is a mess. iTunes also automatically backs up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod when it is plugged into a desktop or laptop. This makes it nearly impossible to recover one of these devices with the back ups because it automatically deletes the previous back up. Back ups on iTunes are necessary for retrieving media that is not shared in the iCloud (for example, ringtones) and must be re-downloaded and paid for a second time to be put back onto the device they were originally on. This recently happened to me when my iPhone went haywire and deleted multiple things on its own. All of the ringtones I had where deleted without my consent, and I have been told that I have to pay for them all again in order to get them back on my phone. It took over an hour of searching through the Apple Support pages for me to find that information, and I eventually ended up finding better, faster answers with the help of online answer sites.

Great music program

iTunes is a great music player for the computer. It can play most files formats for music, and music can also be purchased directly through the iTunes Store. It is relatively easy to sort by artist, genre, album, or song title. But older versions of iTunes were a lot easier to navigate and personalize. iTunes also provides backup for the iPhone, which is a nice and quick way to download and back up data off of the iPhone, particularly pictures and videos. But a downside to this is that the default setting is for iTunes to backup and sync the iPhone automatically in the background. So it can start transferring files automatically without you knowing. It is also inconvenient and difficult to find where to change this default setting. iTunes does pretty well at playing videos as well, although I have come across a few video formats that it is not able to play.

I decided to open up an itunes account only because I often work on the internet and I wanted to be able to listen to non stop music as I did my work on the computer. Now that I am a registered user, I now understand that itunes is quite a bit like Pandora. I am basically able to customize my own music station based on songs that I like and their system some how starts to customize for me automatically more and more accurately the more I use it. I think that itunes has the largest library of music available in comparison to similar sites. It works great for internet radio purposes because I get access to commercial free radio without having to continually stop what I am doing to surf for a new video to play on youtube. Itunes offers convenience as well. I am able to access it on all my devices and can listen any where and any time. The overall sound quality is very good and there is fuzzy or drowned down by static. I enjoy working on and building up my music library when I have the time and have never had an issue with not being able to locate a song I wanted to hear. I thought that it would have a lot more to offer than Pandora but the truth is that they are quite similar in many ways, I like them both.

Extremely useful for music lovers

iTunes is a great way to purchase music among your favorite artist whether it's just a certain song, a few songs, or an entire album. Definantly for those who can't live without music. Great way to keep all of your purchased music in one place. As well as music videos, games and reading books.

My favorite way to music and movies.

5

I have been using iTunes for 5+ years. It's so easy to use and to navigate through. I haven't found something that is as good as this, yet. I find the music prizes to be fair and it's great to be able to buy just the songs you want of an album, instead of buying the whole album. Both the music and the movies is of an amazing variety and very easy to find. You can find pretty much anything in this store except from some of the Indie and Alternative bands. When it comes to service I have had a few run ins with bad tracks and flawed service, but all in the the service and support is great. All the questions you have is usually right there or you can get your email answered within a few hours. The thing I might be missing the most is some apps that are made exclusively for Android phones (my boyfriend has an HTC) and I won't be getting those apps on my own phone (which is what I would like since my phone is like my baby).

Still the best.

iTunes is still the best place to purchase digital music and is likely to continue being the best for the foreseeable future. When I started with iTunes back in 2004, I loved that I could convert all of my CDs into digital files and then store them all on my computer and iPod. Now, nearly a decade later, I really don't buy CDs any more (except the occasional gift) and buy all my new music through iTunes. I especially love the feature of being able to preview new albums at length through iTunes. Something I didn't realize until recently is that you can also download audiobooks from iTunes. For me, listening to a book at the gym makes a nice change of pace. My family has also downloaded some TV shows and movies from iTunes, though we just watch these on our PC because we like the bigger screen. I expect iTunes will be at the forefront for the foreseeable future, and I'm interested to see what they come up with next.

Great entertainment app for iPhone.

4

This is a really cool app if you want to find ANY type of entertainment. It has games, music, movies, TV Shows, podcasts, audiobooks, and more. It perfect for any Apple device. The iTunes' app selection of games is just amazing. They every type of game. From racing to cooking, from picture to problem solving. They have every type at a reasonable price. Most of them only cost ninety-nine cents! The app also has music, hence the name iTunes. The app has such a variety of genres to choose from. Whatever type of music your into, this app has it. The app has over one million songs to choose from. Next the movies. This app has all the best movies, even the new ones right after they come out. But, beware of the rules about the movies. You only have a month to watch if you rent it. And, once you start watching it, you can only watch it for the next 24 hours. In those 24 hours, you can watch it as many times as you want.
