This product is amazing.

It picks up pet fur like you would not believe.

Pros: Moves under furniture, gets itself out of tight spaces, cleans floors like a full sized vacuum. Has different levels of cleaning: Spot cleaning for really small areas.
Clean for lightly dirty areas.
Maxium Clean
for the areas that are dirtier or have alot of pet fur.

Cleans hardwood floors, tile floors, vinyl floors and carpets.

Takes about 3  hours to get fully charged. Will clean a double-wide mobile home on one charge. Even picks up kitty litter. When battery is almost dead it returns to the base station for recharge.

Cons: Even though the newer iRobots have the larger catch bin for debris, you still have to make sure to check and clean it. If not the dirt and fur will go up inside the roomba. It is easily cleaned out though.

It is loud on hardwood floors.

Tries to eat small throw rugs. It get tangled up in them and can not get loose on it's own.

Even though there are some cons to deal with I love this machine and use it daily. It really does the job.

Interesting review. Thanks for the info. We're looking for a vacume but I think we'll stick with an upright or compact. Does your Dyson use replacable bags?

Good review. My kids would love it, my dog would be petrified of it, and my husband would roll his eyes at me (lol) if I bought it. I might have to check it out.

I use both just because I choose to. I do not use them on the same day. I will get out the dyson once a week to clean the furniture where the dog will lay on it and the cats, as well as where the cats like to rub up against the corners to scratch themselves. Both are fantastic products. I really love them both.

This sounds like something I need for my cat who loves to shed a lot around the house. The funny thing is she will be scared of this machine. It's perfect!

In my house, this would be assaulted by the German Shepherd, and would probably choke to death on the volume of fur if the German shepherd didn't manage to kill it off....Nice idea, but would be short lived, I am afraid.

That sounds pretty cool! :>
