iHerb  — 

Not only do the iHerb people offer a no-nonsense sales site that functions flawlessly every time. Along with the very good pricing for all, as a frequent customer I was pleased to be given, without asking, discount status.The extra discount gets applied at the checkout screen, on an invoice you can understand. What a concept.

Best of all, iHerb offers integrity. I mean what they promise - on the site, during a phone call, by email, via their site's IM-type chat feature - actually comes true, and promptly.

Here are some practices they have that I find endearing:
- the site indicates whether or not an item is in stock, BEFORE you choose it
- if all your items are in stock, shipping will get done unbelievably fast, and an email notice of same is 100% prompt
- shipping options are clearly priced and offered, without being hard to find
- customer gets to specify which shipping carrier (s)he wants, an important necessity ignored by 99% of etailers
- product purchasers may post reviews/opinions on the specific supplement or whatever, helpful to say the least
- there are free samples of some things offered, many are pretty good items
- it's all just plainspoken and friendly; no imperious "our policy is..." attitude

Example: last night I too-hastily ordered one item (among several) that, on second look, contained one nutrient that's incompatible with my health. It was after hours. I got on the online chat thing. A rep cheerfully looked into canceling the order on the spot, determined that she could, and promised me an email confirmation of the cancellation in the morning. This morning, 15 minutes after the iHerb office opened, that email showed up. Compare & contrast: other places will make you wait weeks until a refund appears in your credit card account; meanwhile you have no proof of your interaction.

I have been an iHerb customer for quite a while. Not once has an error or delay happened. In addition to numerous routine orders, I have had occasion to make returns or get things replaced. All were handled fairly/cheerfully/promptly.

It just doesn't get any better than this. Could I give them 6 stars?
