Huge Hassle
IHeart Radio has been sweeping the nation and all of my friends as a better alternative to Pandora so I decided to try it. I found the mobile app a little confusing, adding a playlist was easy but I didn't know what the other buttons were for and I "got lost" or kicked out of pages I wanted to stay on accidentally. I wish they had a brief tutorial in the beginning of using it so I didn't feel like a goof asking some of my friends how to work the app. I like a lot of music and I have very diverse tastes which is why I loved Pandora, it would select songs that would satisfy my needs for diversity. IHeart Radio just didn't get it right. I don't feel the software is as intuitive as Pandora is. Frequently I would create a playlist and I would skip so many songs I couldn't skip anymore, you are only allowed so many skips at a time on each station so I found myself creating unnecessary stations/playlists with similar artists just to find that I would have the same problem over and over. I like music that isn't mainstream and I got a lot of mainstream, already-played-out songs that all sounded the same! Using IHeart Radio on a computer is a lot easier for me as I can hover over a button and it will tell me what that button is for but it still lacks the ability to predict the music I like. I still use IHeart radio for a few of their pre-made channels like spin cycle for when I go to the gym but otherwise I don't use them.
