I have nothing against breeders but when there are so many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals available at shelters across the country why buy a pet?
I found my purebreed Pembroke Welsh Corgi at this shelter 10 years ago and he is the love of our lives. You can't imagine how many shelters get purebreed dogs as well as mixed breeds. PLEASE don't ever buy from a puppy mill they are nothing but trouble. True breeders care about the animals they are breediing and never over breed. If you are interested in a specific breed still call a shelter because they have list of most breed rescues in your area....
review »The staff was very friendly. They opened up about 10 minutes early, and my pet was promptly ready for pickup, as promised. I had my puppy, Gracie spayed. Since Gracie is a female, they knew that the surgery was more extensive, and they prescribed her pain medication. The Baltimore County Humane Society exceeded my expectations in the care that was provided to my pet.
