I have nothing against breeders but when there are so many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals available at shelters across the country why buy a pet?

I found my purebreed Pembroke Welsh Corgi at this shelter 10 years ago and he is the love of our lives. You can't imagine how many shelters get purebreed dogs as well as mixed breeds. PLEASE don't ever buy from a puppy mill they are nothing but trouble. True breeders care about the animals they are breediing and never over breed. If you are interested in a specific breed still call a shelter because they have list of most breed rescues in your area. They can refer you to good groups in the area.

This shelter has an amazing staff and takes excellent care of their charges while finding them new homes. The shelter has one of the highest adoption rates in the state of MD.

A full time vet is on staff to help with any problems that arise. That is exceptional care for animals that need it!

Don't pass up a chance to find the love of your life at a animal shelter in your area. Its worth the trip.
