Acer Aspire One
Acer Aspire One AOA150-1435 (LU.S040B.214) Netbook.
I feel extremely fortunate to have found one of these great little computers at Costco recently. This computer is perfect for commuters or students because the size is so portable and yet, it is capable of most of the standard computer functions we have come to use in our daily lives.
It weighs just under three pounds (more like 2.2 pounds actually)! It looks and feels solid, not cheap or flimsy at all. My Acer One is a sleek, shiny onyx black color. The keyboard is very close to regular size (in fact it is 89% the size of a regular keyboard),...
Google Picasa 3
I am a frugal person by nature, and if I can find something for free that will do a job as well as something I have to pay for then I am all for giving it a try. Google Picasa 3 is one of those free things that works as well if not better than many other photo enhancement and publishing tools.
What I like about Google Picasa 3
- it's free
- it is easy to use simply download and start using it
- stores my photos for me
- allows me to safely and quickly share them online (without any need to have ads to buy something like Snapfish does)
- easy to use correction and enhancement tools - zoom, cut,...

Toshiba Satelite laptop. I got this laptop several months ago as an addition to my mini. The only reason I got was because it was very cheap. But it appeared to be a pretty good laptop.
SCREEN:
Screen resolution and the quality of the picture are great. It is very clear and the colors are very bright and natural. The screen can be seen basically by any angle which make it easier to watch a movie with a friend or read from the screen in bed.
Keyboard:
The keyboard is pretty good too. It is easy to type and the keys are located in all the convenient places so you don't really have to get used...
Acer Aspire One
I was not sure about this mini laptop when my husband wanted to buy one. I had not heard much about Acer but I thought we could give it a try because it was very cheap compared to other laptops. We have had ours for a year now and I still love it! We have another laptop but we always fight over the Acer because it is so much easier to manage than bigger and bulkier laptops. Surprisingly, for its size it has a really long battery life (about 6 hours I think). It is so small it is really easy to take with me if I know I am going to be in a waiting room or something for a while. i have even carried...

This netbook is so cute! And it's extremely light to carry around. I keep mine in my purse since it is so small and this keeps it very handy when I'm on the go. I can download pictures from my camera in just a few seconds.
The Acer Aspire One is super fast and I've never had any problems connecting to the Internet with the installed WiFi card. I just recently got mobile broadband, and even that was simple and easy to get started with. I recently took my Acer netbook on a flight and had very good results with the onboard WiFi. I also used it for my travel journal while I was on vacation.
The smaller...

Love, love, love, love, love.
What more can I say? I am absolutely infatuated with my macbook. It's fast, it's sleek, it's simple, and it's me. I'm a mac.
I know that gamers and computer programmers tend to despise the limitations of Mac OS, but for me - a humble blogger and computer-based musician - this is the bee's knees. My roommate is a graphic designer, and has caught the mac-bug too - we both have iphones and macbooks (his is a pro, of course) and will never go back to PC. My music is seamlessly recorded, edited, and transferred to itunes with a drag of an icon. I've used...

When my old custom built computer was getting tired after eight years , I looked around and decided to go with a Dell.
I chopse the Dimension E520 which does not have a ton of bells and whistles but suits my needs perfectly . I like Dell because they always have a lot of coupon codes or deals around that are pretty easy to access. They offered free shipping and , the main selling point at the time ,was that I could order it with Windows XP rather than Vista which I had no interest at all in using and proved to be laden with issues .
The desktop computer came with a 17 inch flat screen monitor...

Bottom-Line: Overall, I would state the Microsoft has designed a good, solid, useful, ergonomic keyboard with a lot to recommend it in the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000.
Let’s face it there is nothing sexy or even new about keyboard design, expect for the rise of backlit units. But the keyboard is one of the most essential parts of the computer; after all, without one the computer is close to useless.
I’ve tried quite a few keyboards over the years so it was time to give Microsoft a try. The Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 almost delivers.
The 411

I'd been wanting a new laptop ever since the Toshiba i used through college gave up the ghost. Everyone knows how convenient a laptop can be, so I won't wax poetic about the standard benefits.
I chose the Acer Aspire One for several reasons. One, it's a great value. I watched the sales for weeks before I found one I couldn't pass up. Two, it's got all the features built in ... a webcam, speakers, microphone, 5-in-1 card reader, WiFi and three USB ports. Three, it's just plain fun! Plus, it's a gorgeous sapphire blue color.
Honestly, the only downfall of my Acer Aspire One is that there's...

This little computer is less that 3 lbs, has a perfect screen size for portability, and has been dependable for me for over 5 years-most laptops just don't last that long these days! While it may be considered a little outdated these recent days, it has always served its purpose for me as a great communication device with fast processing time for downloads and web surfing, as well as a handy pal for student report writing and presentations. It's size makes it ideal for the person on the go, and with a square screen as opposed to widescreen like most modern laptops, it has a less distorted screen...

Finally! Search IMDb.com from your iPhone (or iPod Touch with Wi-Fi). (If you enjoy watching movies and don't know what IMDb is, go to imdb.com now!)
Just about any movie video I watch with someone else, invariably a conversation starts about actors or other movies, like "that guy looked familiar! what else was he in...". Until now, I always have had to open up my iPhone's Safari browser, squint, enlarge the display to find the search box, and pan around the search results in order to track down a cast member or an actor's filmography. No more.
The IMDb app for the iPhone allows you to search the...

The HP CQ50 laptop is a great buy for the money. The only bad thing is the battery life, it seems that the battery life is very poor, goes dead very quickly. I like the mouse touchpad, it moves well with your fingers unlike other laptops that I have used. Althoug, I do not like the operating system which is Windows Vista Home Edition Basic.
Fujitsu Scansnap S510M
About a year ago I purchased a Fujisu Scansnap S510M. For some reason I never spent much time with it until recently, and I've fallen in love with it...it's the best desktop feed scanner I've ever owned or used. As a well known geek-about-town in most of the circles I travel in I get a lot of questions about my favorite hardware and software. This fast scanner is now at the top of any list.
The Fujitsu Scansnap S510M is probably the single most critical component of my home office. It is a feed scanner (not a flat bed) that scans pages so fast it is mind boggling. It only rarely jams, and when it...
Hp pavillion dv6
I have used alot of computers over the years but this one beats them all. I still can't believe they packed all this into such a little space! This computer is not only powerful it's fast! I have a sony vaio desktop that is a dinosaur compared to this little notebook and my sony was top of the line just 2 years ago! HP did a fantastic job with packing all the best into this affordable laptop. I bought this laptop when I went back to college and needed something wireless that could perform quickly. I have used this for homework in accounting, writing papers, creating templates, email, web surfing,...
