Avent bottles are versatile since they have the variable flow nipples starting with 1 for newborns up to the "y" cut nipples for full flow. They also have the nipples that have the 3 different flow levels in one nipple. This one was a little confusing at first since you have to line the "level" up with the baby's nose, but once we got the hang of it, it worked well.
They also have handles that you can put on the bottles which helps the baby learn how to easily hold it's bottle and helps transitioning to sippy cups. They have training lids for teaching kids to learn how to drink out of a sippy cup.
I'm a foster parent and never know which age child I'm going to get, so having the versatility of Avent makes my life so easy! I don't have to have a million different types of bottles and sippy cups overflowing my cabinets. These work for preemie babies up to toddlers!
The only con I've come upon so far is occasionally, if you don't put the lid on the bottle correctly, you'll have a spill happen, but once you've experienced the "formula flood" a couple of times, you get the swing and you're good to go!
