After much first-time-mom research, I decided Avent would be our way to go for bottle feeding. I purchased & registered for every size bottle, every size nipple, and every Avent accessory there was. I got the sterilizer, bottle/food warmer & paci's.
It was a WONDERFUL day when we discovered my daughter wanted nothing to do with these bottles/nipples and it was my husband off to the store at 11pm! Luckily, our next choice was the right choice. It was until my daughter hit 9 months that she stopped caring what it came in, but that she was getting it, and we were able to bring all those bottles back out and get some use out of them.
The bottles themselves are easy to clean (whether you do it by hand or the dishwasher) and the nipples are too! The lips snap on and off easily, and the bottles fit into most bottle holders on my bags. Are these worth the money? Yes. Should you buy just one or two until you see if your little one agrees with you? For sure!
Good to know: I believe all bottles come with one standard size nipple, so make sure to purchase the next quickest nipple to get you through transitions. There are "Newborn" starter sets that gives you a few sizes of bottles, nipples & even a handy bottle cleaner. Note: Any bottle cleaner will work for these; not just the Avent one!
