As a preemie, our daughter had some feeding issues.  Avent bottles were the first "non-hospital" bottles and nipples that she used.  She adjusted to them perfectly and was also able to experiment with the different nipple flows.  They were easy to clean and had plenty of accessories available for cleaning and sterilizing.  Eventually, she liked gripping the wide neck bottles and feeding herself!  We also used them right along with the Avent breast pump!
