I loved the steam mop until it died. If that is not bad enough, I can not reach the Haan Company to talk repair or replace. Poor customer service. The mop was less than a year old when it stopped working.

I have had my Hahn floor steamer for over 3 years. I love this steam mop. I have all hard wood floors and it cleans them beautifully. I don't like any chemicals in my house and being able to use steam to clean and sanitize is wonderful. I live in Alaska and our spring break up can be really awful. This steamer cleans the mud thoroughly. The steamer came with 2 blue, velcro backed cotton pads. They are washable and have lasted a long time. I use the Hahn at least once a week and the pads have little wear on them and continue to work great. The steamer itself is very easy to use. You fill the reservoir with water, plug it in, step on the little tab on the steamer bottom and in about 90 seconds it is boiling hot and ready to go. You can steam a lot of area before having to refill with water. I have owned other brands of steamers before and they all stopped working or plugged up after about a year of high use. Not the Hahn, it is running like a champ. I wouldn't suggest any other brand. This product is light weight and the handle is longer ( I am 6 feet tall and that can be an issue) so I don't have to stoop over to use it and it doesn't hurt my lower back.

I purchased this steamer after the birth of our son. Before he became mobile, I wanted to find a safe, chemical-free way to clean and sanitize our floors. I first used a mop and bucket, then switched to a Swiffer Wet Jet, and now I have this steamer and will never go back to using chemicals! I also love that you don't have to keep buying cleaner, pads, etc. like you do with those other mopping methods. The pads with this steamer can just be reused over and over, which is nice now that we are down to one income. Previously, I used to wipe the floors with a paper towl to "spot clean" areas the Swiffer didn't seem to quite clean well enough, and the paper towl would still be dirty - even after just mopping! With this steamer, it passes the "paper towel" test!

This is the BEST for cleaning hardwood floors. Just put water into the water container and wait a few seconds for it to heat up. Then just push the steamer on the floor. The cloth comes off for easy washing. I can steam clean my whole kitchen without refilling the water container. Then I refill it and to the entry way and hall.

I bought the Haan steamer as a replacement for my old push-and-steam shark mop and this cleans circles around the shark. Since I do most of the heavy cleaning in my house and we have animals I needed something easier and faster. It can also be used for bedding and fabric to sanitize and get rid of dust mites. The Haan heats up very quickly and the absorbant pad picks up a lot of dirt There are no icky, damp paper pads to touch or replace. And when you are done you just rip off the thick pad and throw it in the washer. I find that because the Haan is a nice weight and is easy to use, even with my tendonitis) it picks up and cleans, not just push dirt and pet hair trails around like a Swiffer or the Shark. The water tank also seems to last longer than in the Shark and thank goodness you don't have to pump like I did with the old steamers, those are going in the trash and I am keeping my Haan! My only complaints: The power button is in an inconvinient spot; on the bottom of the unit, and it refuses to stay down when I try to activate it with my foot. You have to kneel down to floor level to fill the tank. On the Shark it was slightly more convienient but still near floor level. I tried proping it up on the counter but unless part of the handle is taken of it is not easy. Overall I would defintitely reccomend the Haan. It is a must for anyone with hard floors, pets, and or kids and it is easy to use. There are a few tight spaces it won't get into (I use a damp rag for the molding under the cupboards) but it cleans great and I really like it.

The on/off switch breaks - Mine broke after 4 uses so I can use one container of water, after that it won't work again for several hours because the on/off switch is broken and they don't sell replacements - see other reviews - buy a new machine is your only option. I'll buy a new machine, but it won't be Haan!

I have 2 dogs that create quite a mess.  I find myself vacuuming every other day and mopping at least once a week.  I had a Shark mop and thought it was the greatest thing ever.  Until it quit working.  I decided to try another brand and after research found the HAAN Slim steam mop.  The description seemed like a good quality product and it definitely is!  The mop gets real hot, real fast.  They even give a pad to set the mop on while heating up and cooling down.  With the Shark mop, I had to scrub to get visible dirt up going over the area 8 to 10 times.  Whenever I have a visible dirt spot now I just glide the HAAN steam mop over the area slowly once or twice and it's clean.  The steam gets so hot that it sanitizes the area.  HAAN is a company that made these mops for the Asian culture who seats on the floor to eat and I can tell!  It gets the floor clean in a short time with really no effort!  Since it is so affordable I am thinking of getting a mop for my mom and mother in law for Christmas.

We just love our Haan.  It is the best thing ever to clean your floors.  We researched a lot before buying a steam cleaner and decided to go with the Haan.  It is so easy to use and easy to store.  You fill with water (we use distilled water), plug it in, and it is hot and ready to go very quickly.  The floors dry very fast, which is great for us with two little kids and two dogs.  And you can tell that the floors are very clean when you are finished.  There is such a difference when you use the Haan compared to just using regular floor cleaner.  Plus, when you use the Haan, you are using water to clean, not chemicals.  We have even used the Haan to clean our mattress.  You can use it on countertops too.  There are many uses for this steam cleaner.  And when you are done, you just throw the pads into the washing machine.  I recommended the Haan to my sister when she got married, and it was one of her favorite wedding gifts.  It's a great!
