Kohls Sale Lowers Prices On Two Viewpoints Best Value Award Winners

Coffee Milkshake

Two of Viewpoints’ Best Value award winners are on sale at Kohls in the days leading up to Christmas. Used together, these two products, a coffee maker and a blender, can be used to make this coffee milkshake, amongst other things.

If you’ve been keeping up with Viewpoints lately, you know that we’ve recently started rolling out our Reviewers’ Choice Awards. So far we have handed out awards for small kitchen appliances based on consumer reviews and ratings. The top two awards a product can receive are Best Overall and Best Value. Best Value winners are both highly rated and affordable. But a holiday Kohls Sale has lowered the prices even more on two Best Value winners: the Mr. Coffee Programmable Coffee Maker and the Bella Rocket Blender.

Mr. Coffee 4-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker

On sale for $29.99, formerly $44.99

This Mr. Coffee coffee maker is the Best Value drip coffee maker award winner in the small kitchen appliance category. Its 90/100 rating based on 104 reviews put it in the running for this award, but it is what this coffee maker can do that makes reviewers love it.

The Mr. Coffee coffee maker can be set to brew a small pot of coffee up to 24 hours in advance. Though its four-cup carafe is smaller than other coffee makers, it is the perfect size for small kitchens, or for single coffee-drinker households. You can also pause the maker to pour a cup of coffee mid-brew if you are unwilling to wait until the whole pot is done.

“I love love love my Mr. Coffee DRX5 4 Cup Coffee Maker… no fancy bells or whistles! It is simple to use and gets to the point — A GREAT CUP OF COFFEE! I love the fact that it is only a 4 cup machine. My husband and I only drink a mug full of coffee every morning. We don’t need anything else. I switch it on as soon as I get up, and the coffee is nice and hot a few minutes later.” slinkyallstar, Reviewer since 2011

Straight coffee is not the only thing you can make if you buy this coffee maker at your local Kohls this year. If you’re in the mood for a holiday drink, you should try this eggnog coffee recipe out:

Pour one cup of strong, freshly brewed coffee into your favorite mug. Add about one ounce, a shot glass full, of eggnog. Mix together and garnish with some grated nutmeg or cinnamon.

Bella 12-Piece Rocket Blender

On sale for $19.99, formerly $39.99

The Bella Rocket Blender has been around for a while, earning a score of 87/100 based on 31 reviews. This 12-piece blender includes two different blades, three blending cups, and four lids. It can also chop and whip in addition to blend.

“I put my flax seeds in the grinder and it was as easy as that! It grinded them quick and it was super easy. We now use this for EVERYTHING! Smoothies are the best, you dont have to spend all that time dragging out a blender for one smoothie. Its quick easy and you can just throw them in the dishwasher when you’re done!” autumnnorthcutt, Reviewer since 2010

So what can you make with the Rocket Blender? My favorite smoothie is to mix some Dannon Light and Fit vanilla with a splash of milk and some frozen raspberries. It comes out the perfect consistency and I don’t need to add any sweetener. But Viewpoints reviewers have used their blenders to grind coffee beans, make salsa and mix juices.

You can do a lot for a little

Both of these Best Value award winners can do more than just the normal functions. You can make adult coffee-based drinks, or coffee milkshakes or your normal cup of joe; you can make salsas, and smoothies and purees. And you can do it all for an even lower price than normal. So whether you want to splurge for yourself or are looking for an affordable and practical gift for a loved one, you should run to Kohls before it’s too late.
