Beauty products can be expensive, especially if you’re like me and don’t want to change to a cheaper product because you really like what you’re using. So when my regular products go on sale I rush to stock up so I can make it through to the next one. Nordstrom is where many go to get their skin care products and makeup, but it’s also expensive. The current Nordstrom sale on beauty products might not save you much more than a couple bucks, but that still might lower the price just enough for it to fit into your budget.
You’re lucky if anything is marked down more than 10 percent
Maybe this shouldn’t be as surprising to me as it is, but most Nordstrom sale items in the beauty department are only marked down 10 percent. But, Nordstrom is still known for carrying trusted brands that have been around for a long time, such as Kiehl’s and Clinique. I did manage to find some items that are on sale for $35 or less. Then there’s one luxury item that is so highly ranked it might be worth the splurge. This skin care item might still be over $100, but it is marked down and comes with accessories to make it a steal.
Let’s look at the most expensive item first. The Clarisonic ranges in price depending on which model you get, but this one is on sale at Nordstrom for $150. But what does the Clarisonic do? You should have a good idea if you’re going to put down nearly $175 (with tax) for it. The Clarisonic is a “cleansing brush” that deep cleans your skin to give you, as the commercials say, smoother more radiant skin.
With this package from Nordstrom you get a six ounce, instead of the normal one ounce, container of the gel cleanser to use with the device, a second brush head, and a travel bag and case (normally all of this would cost you at least $229). So not only is this a great deal, but Viewpoints reviewers swear by the Clarisonic Mia, giving it a 92/100 based on 85 reviews.
“This is the only product that has made the small bumps on my forehead go away. I’ve tried scrubs, peels and special cleansers, but none of them have worked as well as this brush. It leaves my whole face soft and cleaner than it would get by just using a cleanser by itself.” –this2shallpass19, Reviewer since 2008

Have you been eyeing Juicy’s perfume just waiting for the prices to go down so you could buy yourself a smell-good gift? Or maybe your kid, grandkid, or niece has been asking for it. Whatever is the case, the normal size bottle of Viva La Juicy will not be on sale this holiday season, at least not yet. However, the Viva La Juice trio pen set is.
Marked down to $32.40 from $36, it includes three variations of the Viva La Juicy scent, including the original. Even though it is not the full-size bottle, it will fit perfectly inside a purse, or carry-on luggage if you’re traveling this season. And if you aren’t quite sold on it, this perfume has a higher than average rating at 95/100 based on 63 reviews.
“It is light and summery. It has a very citrusy smell, with a little floral as well. It does not make you feel like everyone can smell you coming from a mile away, but you feel like people notice that you smell nice. It is a great everyday fragrance.” –shellypelly28, Reviewer since 2010
Moving on down the list of prices, we come to this Clinique lotion. I don’t know about you, but the winter weather always dries out my skin. With wearing more makeup around the holidays for church and parties plus my everyday use, I need a good facial moisturizer to save me from both peeling and completely breaking out. Clinique products aren’t really known for being budget friendly, and this lotion is only discounted 10 percent from $26 to $23.40, but every bit helps.
Viewpoints reviewers love Clinique Dramatically Different, giving it a score of 86/100 based on 187 reviews, because not only can it be applied to your face and throat, but also anywhere else that you might have dry, itchy skin as well.
“This is the perfect daily moisturizer. It is enough to keep my skin hydrated all day without being greasy or heavy. I actually use in under my makeup and have been known to mix it with a little foundation for all over coverage on those bad days! I put it on again at night after I wash my face.” –mingustasha, Reviewer since 2010
You might not want to give this as a gift this Christmas, but if you’re hitting up any parties between now and the New Year, you might want to look into it. Again only marked down by 10 percent, from $23 to $20.70, this eyeliner is water resistant and easy to apply. All you have to do is dip a fine eyeliner brush into the eyeliner, wipe off any excess on a tissue, and then apply to your eyelid. You will have to use makeup remover to take this eyeliner off, though.
This eyeliner comes in 14 different colors and Viewpoints reviewers rate it 92/100, many swearing that this product is a must have.
“This eyeliner is great. I always have issues with eyeliner and mascara ending up under my eyes, making me look like a zombie by lunchtime…it goes on nicely. You need a special brush to apply, and I often have to wet my finger, rub the brush on it, and then put the brush in the eyeliner pot to get it to go. While not too time consuming, it is an extra step that sometimes causes me to reach for something else if I’m in a rush.” –cherryzero, Reviewer since 2011

You still save something
A couple dollars doesn’t really save you much money, but it can also be the difference between buying that gallon of milk when you run out or a bag of ice for Christmas cocktails, or having to wait for your next pay check. Ten percent is 10 percent, so if any of these makeup items are on your regular shopping list or you’ve been thinking about investing in some higher-end beauty products, now might be the time to buy. And if you’re splurging on scents or a Clarisonic this Christmas, this is probably the best sale you’ll see before the actual holiday hits.
