I have been caring for a gentleman who had severe depression. I saw him shortly before he started taking the medication Effexor XR. The XR stands for extended release. This medication has truly made a difference in his life as he is able to live life once again and enjoy all the wonderful things life has to offer. There was once a time when he did not want to get out of bed, get dressed, or even go out. He preferred to stay home, not answer the phone and stay in bed all day. I insisted that we see the doctor who immediately prescribed Effexor XR to him and within three weeks he was back to himself again. He can't believe the difference it has made. He wanted to write this review himself, but he has Rheumetoid arthritis and couldn't, so I told him that I would do it for him since I could truly speak on behalf of how well it works. He is now looking forward to the holidays thanks to Effexor XR.
