I have had an account with ebay for the last 7 years. At first I used it occasionally. I found some good bargains and some unique items. I have also sold quite a few things. My feedback was excellent. I say "was" because I closed my account last month. In the last year I have made quite alot of purchases; perfume, handbags, furs, pool accessories, car parts. The bottle of perfume was confirmed to be counterfeit (I took it to a retailer) and returned only to receive bad feedback. Prior to my purchase the seller had good feedback. Needless to say I left bad feedback. I continued to check the sellers feedback only to find at least 20 negative feedback due to counterfeit perfumes sold. I complained to eBay...guess what...seller is still selling counterfeit perfume and receiving bad feedback. But the seller sells with such high volume it doesn't make a difference. I had the same thing happen with a handbag (but I got stuck with that item), and three other things I purchased were "bootleg". I repeatedly complained to eBay and nothing was done. These sellers continue to sell their counterfeit items and we, as consumers, continue to get ripped off everyday. eBay does nothing at all about this and looks the other way. If they did something about it they would loose a lot of sellers.
