eMachines e machine desktop computer Review

We have an Emachine desktop computer.  It is a nice looking computer with very adequate hardware (printer, speakers, etc).  However, it is very slow.  it has Windows Vista loaded and when we turn it on, we go do something wlse while it boots up!  after it is booted, it takes about 15 to 20 seconds juat to open a browser.  That does NOT include downloading a web page!  We have a DSL connecton so the actual download is OK.  To go from one page to another on the web is 4 to 6 seconds.  It just takes FOREVER to get started!

Another problem is with the Microsoft Word Processor.  I do not know if this is because of the way Emachines loaced it or if it is connected with the word processingn program itself.  Even though we prepare a document with the word processor, we can not just double click to open the program.  We always have to rightclick, then use "open with" and go to "Microsoft Word Processor" to get it to open.

The keybord is also a problem.  The letters are wearing off of the keys.  For a typist this is not a problem, but Ihave to look at the keys and sometimes I am not sure where the letters are!
