I was thrilled when i saw the emachines computer on sale at best buy in december of 2006. Mainly because I believed it was a trusting brand and the rebates i would get back were around $600 total. Which was like paying only $200 for a desktop computer. It worked great initially and i didn't mind that i had to do quite a bit of work collecting everything i needed to send through mail to make sure i got my rebate. However, not even a few months later, after i had already received my rebates, the computer failed quite a few times in one day! It would have error messages pop up saying it was a emachines error and to resart computer or sometimes it would just freeze for long periods of time and so many other minor problems that were happening to often and became quite annoying. To make matters worse, the computer began shutting down on its own while i was in the middle of something and when turned back on would have a message that it shut down because the internal temp was to hot and needed to be serviced! I started thinking it was something i was doing which was just checking emails and browsing sales, but turns out 3 other people i knew had the same machine and the same problems. Turns out, you get what you pay for! even though i paid over$800 when i bought it, after rebates it was about $200 so it was because it was only worth $200!
