eHarmony is a scam
1 star rating

happily married, a romantic, in love, into finding great deals online
Cons
Not enough matches, Contact based on payment level, More matches only after resubcribing

I originally signed up for eHarmony with a one month subscription. Despite finding the personality questionnaire laborious, I pushed on eager to find a personality match. After the first week I was pleased to find so many matches but none included a picture. From week 2 to week 4 I received only two more matches with no photos. During this first month I was able to reach only the first stage of contact. After stating my dissatisfaction and intent to cancel my membership, eHarmony talked me into trying again for an additional 3 months at the price of one month.

During the next three months I received less than 30 matches, of which only about 10 had photos. I was only able to reach the third stage of contact before all communication ceased once again. Normally I would have thought the contact was simply cut off by the matches but considering how quickly I was advancing through the stages with new contacts, it was obvious that the sudden stops were not done on their parts, but through eHarmony's program.

So during my initial 1 month membership I only reached stage 1 and during the next three months I only reached stage 3. And during all of this time, almost all of the matches I received only about 25% had photos.  While personality is a wonderful way to match two people, there is a definite need for people to be attracted to each other as well.
I felt eHarmony was running a site that was willing to match people, but only if they were willing to pay enough money to actually meet someone. This is tantamount to a scam and I would highly recommend any user to use another means in finding a true match.

I too have a trial membership with them and the contacts have been terrible.

You don't have a photo on this site; did you post one on eHarmony? Some people only allow access to their photo once you have one posted, as well.

You progressed farther than I have!
